Śrī caturdaśākṣara aśvārūḍhā Mantra Japa ( शशशश

1. Viniyogaḥ ( शशशशशशशश ) :-
om̐ asya śrī aśvārūḍhā mahā mantrasya ।
brahmā ṛṣiḥ ।
virāṭ chandaḥ ।
aśvārūḍhāṃbā devatā ।
ām̐ bījaṃ ।
hrīm̐ śaktiḥ ।
krom̐ kīlakaṃ ।
aśvārūḍhāṃbā prasāda siddhyarthe jape viniyogaḥ ।

।।।।।।। ।।।। ।

Meaning:- This prayer/mantra japa is to invoke śrī aśvārūḍhā and perform Her mantra japa to the obtain
Her complete grace in all aspects. The sage/ṛṣiḥ is brahmā, the meter for the mantra is gāyatrī and the
deity is śrī aśvārūḍhā, the seed/bījaṃ is aim̐ , the power or śakti is svāhā. The secret to unlock the mantra
or kīlakaṃ is mahā māyeti.

2. Kara nyāsa ( शश शशशशश ) :-

4 oṃ aim̐ anāmikābhyāṃ namaḥ । ।। Use both the thumbs
।।।।।।।।।।।। on the ring fingers.
।।।
5 oṃ aum̐ phaṭ kaniṣṭikhābhyāṃ । ।। ।।। Use both the thumbs
namaḥ ।।।।।।।।।।।।।। on the little fingers.
।।।
6 oṃ aḥ karatalakara pṛṣṭhābhyāṃ । ।। ।।।।।। Open both the palms;
namaḥ ।।।।।।।।।।। run the opened palms
।।। of the right hand on
the front and back
sides of the left palm
and repeat the same
for the other palm.
7 iti kara nyāsaḥ ।।। ।। ।।।।।।

3. ṣaḍaṅga nyāsa ( शशशशश शशशशश ) :-

ring fingers of the right
hand and place them
on the heart chakra.
2 om̐ hrīm̐ śirase svāhā । ।।।।। ।।।।। Open middle and ring
।।।।।। fingers of the right
hand and touch the top
of the forehead.
3 om̐ krom̐ śikhāyai vaṣaṭ । ।।।।। ।।।।।। Open the right thumb
।।।। and touch the back of
the head. This is the
point where the tuft of
hair, is kept.
4 om̐ ehohi kavacāya huṃ । ।।।।। ।।।।। Cross both the hands
।।। and run the fully
opened palms from
shoulders to finger tips.
5 om̐ parameśvari netratrayāya vauṣaṭ । ।।।।।।।।। Touch the eyes with the
।।।।।।।।।।। right index and ring
।।।।। fingers, with the middle
finger touching the ājña
cakra.
6 om̐ svāhā astrāya phaṭ । ।।।।।। Open up the left palm
।।।।।।।। ।।। and strike it three times
with index and middle
fingers of the right
hand.
7 iti ṣaḍaṅga nyāsaḥ ।।। ।।।।।

bhūrbhuvassuvaromiti digbandhaḥ ।
।।।।।।।।।।।।।।।।।। ।।।।।।।।।।

4. Dhyānam ( शशशशशशश ) :-

raktāmaśvādhirūḍhāṃ śaśidharaśakalāṃbaddhamauliṃ trinetrāṃ ।


pāśenābadhya sādhyaṃ smaraśara-vivaśāṃ dakṣiṇena-ānayantīṃ ।
hastenānyena vetraṃ vara-kanaka-mayaṃ dhārayantīṃ manojñayāṃ ।
devīṃ dhyāyedajastraṃ kucabharanamitāṃ divya hārābhirāmāṃ ।
।।।।।।।।।।।।।।।।। ।।।।।।।।।।।।।।।।।।। ।।।।।।।।।।। ।
।।।।।।।।।। ।।।।।। ।।।।।।।।।।।। ।।।।।।।।।।।।।।।। ।

Meaning:- Salutations to Śrī Aśvārūḍhā, who vanquishes all the hostile enemies, both internal
and external. She is meditated upon as One riding the red Aparājita horse, with a moon crescent
decorating Her head and having three eyes, representing complete spiritual awakening. In one hand,
She holds a rope/lasso/leash/pāśa that She wields to subdue and bind the inner evils of lust, gambling
etc and helps reverse our fortune, to gain immense wealth, health and knowledge, as a true teacher and
guide. By another hand, She holds a large cane/staff/bow to guide us on the right path and She is golden
yellow by complexion. She is well endowed and and bedecked with ornaments of all precious stones and
extremely beautiful and pleasing to look at.
5. Pañcapūjā ( शशशशशशशश ) :-

upper tip/nails of
the index fingers,
with the back of the
palm facing us.
3 yam̐ - vāyvātmikāyai ।। - Hold the lower tip

both hands with

pūjām samarpayāmi || ।।।।।।।।। ।।।।।। each palm in a
।।।।।।।।।। folded manner with
the tips of each
fingers of both
hands touching
each other and the
thumbs facing the
heart, in a Namaste
position.

6. japamālā mantraṃ ( शशशशशश शशशशशशश ) :-

Recite the below mantra once, to pray to the japa māla and invoke the blessings for a fruitful japa.

oṃ māṃ māle mahāmāye sarvamantra svarūpiṇi।


caturvarga stvayinyasta stasmānye siddhidā bhava।
। ।।। ।।।। ।।।।।।। ।।।।।।।।।। ।।।।।।।।।।
।।।।।।।।। ।।।।।।।।।।।।। ।।।।।।।।।।। ।।।।।।।। ।।।

7. guru mantra ( शशशश शशशशशश ) :-

Recite the following guru mantra once, to seek the blessings of all gurus and the Guru.

oṃ hrīṃ siddhaguro prasīda hrīṃ oṃ

8. caturdaśākṣari mantra ( शशशशशशशशशशशशश शशशशशश ) :-

The 14 lettered mantra is –

om̐ ām̐ hrīm̐ krom̐ ehohi parameśvari svāhā श


श शश शशशशश शशशशश शशशशश शशशशशशशशश शशशशशश श

The above mantra should be recited using the above consecrated japa māla. The māla should have 108
beads plus a meru or head bead. The count is from the meru bead and back. The meru bead itself should
not be counted. When the count reaches the meru, flip the māla, to count in reverse and so on, for the
decided number of māla counts.

Mantra meaning:-
Salutations to the Divine Mother Śrī Aśvārūḍhā, Worshipped as Śakti. May She come (ehohi or ehi) to
us and bless us profusely. The bījas om̐ represents manifested Brahman vibrating as the primordial
sound as Śabda Brahman. ām̐ is Śiva and Śakti in union and constitute the Universal
superconsciousness. hrīm̐ is the Śakti bīja and represents auspiciousness and krom̐ is the kāli bīja
constituting supreme knowledge and the destruction of all falsehood.
9. ṣaḍaṅga nyāsa ( शशशशश शशशशश ) :-

Take water in uttaraṇi and by reciting the following śloka, offer the water to the earth

guhyātiguhyagoptrī tvaṁ gṛhāṇāsmat-kṛtaṁ japam।
siddhirbhavatu me devi tvatprasādānmayi sthirā ।

13. japānaṃtaraṃ mālāmantraṃ ( शशशशशशशश शशशशशशशशशशश ) :-

Recite the below śloka and mantra, followed by placing the māla upon the top of the head and
then place it back in the māla bag and conceal it. It should NOT be worn.

śubhaṃ kuruṣya me bhadre yaśo vīryaṃ ca dehime।
