PA 201 Syllabus
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
PA 201 is one of the core courses in the degree Masters of Public Administration.
1. It introduces graduate students to the discipline of PA and how its theories are being put into
practice in today’s actual operation of public agencies, institutions and instrumentalities.
2. It presents in detail the interplay of politics and administration or management in the various
level of the Philippine government.
3. It introduces the students the issues and challenges the Public Administration faces as it copes
up with the fast changing and advancing information and technology.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
1. To introduce the graduate students to PA as a discipline and profession, its basic concepts,
nature and scope, theories and principles, arguments and researches.
2. To induce analytical and critical thinking on the role of PA as a mechanism geared towards
of Public Administration
4. To develop students ability to relate and express their thoughts clearly on what’s going on
around them where PA is a part and parcel of their existence.
