As per section 10(10D) of the Income Tax Act, 1961, any sum received under a life insurance policy will be exempt subject to conditions specified therein.
Tax benefit under Section 80C and 80 CCC of the Income Tax Act, 1961 is available to an individual or HUF for premium paid towards life insurance or pension
policy, subject to the conditions / limits specified therein.
