My name is Talya and I’m twenty-six. I’m from Turkey. My parents are from Marmaris – a small

town by the sea, but now we live in Istanbul. It’s a big city, but the people are very friendly.

I live with my family in a flat near the city centre. I’m an artist and a photographer. I work for a

magazine company – I take photos for the magazine. I also paint pictures and sell them in an

art gallery. It’s difficult to make money … but I love my job.

I live with my parents and my brother. My brother’s name is Emre and he’s nineteen. He’s a

student at the university. My father’s name is Ali and my mother’s name is Mira. They’re

teachers – they work in a secondary school.
