Aeromodelling Workshop Proposal STrobotix
Aeromodelling Workshop Proposal STrobotix
This workshop is dedicated to learn the technology behind making of aircrafts. It help and
encourage the participants to solve real time problem involved in making of glider aircraft,
besides this live demonstration of RC plane will also be shown so that student will stimulate
their theoretical knowledge in to practical. The RC technology and Aeromodelling skills that are
the basics of entering into the real world of flying an actual airplane would be covered in this
workshop. This technology based on Radio controlling and Nitro Engines is widespread in
foreign countries: USA, Australia, Taiwan, Russia, Japan, China and many more and is known
as the RC Hobby. However, this technology is mostly studied in all IIT’s in India. STrobotix
presents before you an opportunity to have an unending experience of this field at your college/
Tech-fest.
This workshop is open for all the students of B.Tech and M.Tech or Teachers / Professionals
working in this field. Aeromodelling is a combination of all the branches including Electronics,
engineering students of all the branches mentioned have a very good chance to explore this
very intrusting field and this workshop would provide such an exposure to you about
engineering practical aspects in flying that you have never seen before.
Thrilled about RC Hobby, want to make your own aircrafts using some engineering skills that
are scaled models of actual helicopters and Airplanes, Like the Idea used in the movie 3- idiots
(4-rotor spy planes), bored with static projects and normal robotics workshops and want your
robots to fly in open air, then this is the opportunity for you to take your leading steps in this
field and get a great exposure about un-ending applications of Aero-modelling by using basic
electronics (FM and Radio Controlling: 2.4GHz Technology), simple but different programming
of the remotes and the receivers, controlling exact position of servos, some mechanical engg.
In this workshop, you would be building a complete aero-model glider plane with your own
hands with the help of simple tools like cutters, fevi-tites, special adhesives, and sandpapers
out of Styrofoam sheets (special Industrial pressurized thermocoals). Know the basic fundas
about Center of Gravity (C.G) and Center of Pressure (C.P) of a flying object or basic

The Aero-models that are studied and flight are scaled models of actual planes and helicopters.
This is the latest field of research and application in engineering that includes all the branches of
Aerodynamics. This technology is more known as a hobby field but is now widely applicable in
defense purposes as Flying Robots or AGV in air that are being utilized for survelliance. These
kinds of Aeromodels are also used for the coverage of a tech-fest or a grand function from up in
the air and are very popular in latest Aero-model Advertisement. These are some of the basic
applications of these flying birds and a lot more are there that would be covered in this
workshop….
Workshop Duration: 2 days workshop (sat-sun) from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm on both the days
(given that timings could be extended to 1 day more in order to complete any student’s
Aeromodels)
Last Date for Registration: 10 days before the workshop or when the maximum entries for
