Rubik's Cube Patterns

This document describes and provides notation for various patterns that can be made on a Rubik's Cube. It lists over 30 specific patterns, including checkerboards, stripes, cubes within cubes, snakes, spots, bars, letters, and other geometric shapes. For each pattern, it provides the number of quarter turns and face turns required to achieve the pattern in a minimal number of moves. Other pages with additional cube patterns are also listed.

Here are some of my favorite patterns on Rubik's cube. Many of these are from Christoph Bandelow's Inside
Rubik's Cube and Beyond. I have even computed all minimal maneuvers, using my optimal cube solver.
