Assignment #1

I am Taufiquh Hafid Dzikri, ITS student in the Department of Civil Engineering with NRP
03111940000059. In my opinion, English is a very important subject. Especially in this era,
all of which are global. Prospective workers who are prepared to be able to speak English.
Therefore, students have gotten English lessons from the lowest class, until this college
student. Students are required to be able to ask for English well. In my opinion, the steps
from learning English starting from the easiest are reading, writing, listening, then speaking.

So far I have had enough to read English. Reading English is quite easy in my opinion. I just
read it full while interpreting it so I know the meaning of the sentence by interpreting the
words one by one and then continuing.

To write, I am still quite troubled. Because in writing we do the opposite of reading, then
translate the word to be written, then translate it into English first before writing.

Next is listening. In listening I am still struggling. Hear more than read. Because in language
we can't spell letters from words. We must really interpret the words heard through speech.

And lastly, in my opinion the most difficult is speaking. How to be difficult there I have to
really interpret, spell, and return it correctly. Trying to speak English must really be mastered
reading, writing and listening first.

I got English again in this semester 2 ITS lecture. In the process, the English lessons I will
carry out are more practical, discussed while talking. Therefore, I hope to develop even better
in English.

English is an international language that is easy to learn, by reading, listening, writing, and

English is increasingly being used and is very important for daily life. English remains an
international language.
This means that if we want to chat with people who are from abroad can directly participate
chat in English and he always likes it. English is now also important to learn besides
Indonesian. This was done so that the community could develop in terms of knowledge and
social. Not only about local languages or Indonesian languages.

English in practice has pluses and minuses. The plus is that the public knows more about the
international world. Language will bring a level of education for the better. Moreover,
prospective workers really need English. Many companies provide specifications about their
work in English.

The minus value is that excessive English for some people can cause the culture to fade.
Some people think English is more than their Indonesian language and local language. This
caused the fading of the national culture because it was drowned out by personal
achievements that were more noble than everything.

Therefore, as good citizens, we still uphold the language of unity, pursue regional languages,
and learn English as an international language. English is now increasingly in demand.
Indonesia is one of the countries that activates English in the country. Including many
countries that already or will use English as an international language. We are also proud of
the achievements of our friends.
