You have TWO hours to answer Question 1 in Part A and ONE question from Part B.
Part A
1. As part of the town memory project, your school is going to have a drama show with the theme
of the old days of a market square, which was an open area in the old town centre with stalls
selling goods and food. This show aims at encouraging people to know more about their
relationship with the history of the town.
You are one of the key persons of the organizing team for this drama show and are responsible
for leading a group of fellow students, with advice offered by some teachers.
The teachers have asked you to write the plan for the first part of the preparation for the show,
paying attention to the following aspects:

In one of the relay events of the recent Sports Day of your school, there was a complaint about
the unfairness caused by the drinking of something connected with alcohol, maybe Jolly Shandy.

6. Learning English through Social Issues
In the present situation of Hong Kong, the licence of a taxi does not require offering high-quality
service. Right now, most of the taxi drivers are self-employed and their average age is 58. Worse
still, the traffic accident rate of the taxis is relatively higher and there are various complaints
about taxi service, including overcharging, refusing hire and improper behaviour.
However, the idea of franchised taxis is rejected by the local taxi industry.
As a contributing writer of a column on social issues of your school newspaper, you are asked to
write an article on the issue of franchised taxi in Hong Kong, paying particular attention to the
