Biography:

My name is Zahrasadat Rezaei come from Iran .I am 28 years old and studied my General
Medicine in “Tehran university of Medical Sciences” and graduated in 2017 and after that
immediately I admitted for Neurology residency in my country but after 2 weeks I left this
position and decided to continue my study in Sweden. On the other hand, I had to do my
obligatory service for medical staff and I had not enough time to study Swedish language
well. So it was really irregular (maybe 2 hours in a week).
I started to study Swedish language in my country almost regularly for 4-5months(4-6 hours
per week by distance, Skype) and with an Iranian non-academic teacher I reached to B1 level
and almost it was easy to understand Swedish texts and it was enough for me to pass
theoretical exam!
I moved to Sweden 10th January 2019 and started to read some old kunskapsprov exams to
learn Medical Swedish important words and I made a notebook to write all these words. 2
weeks later I decided to read resources which has written below to get ready for kunskapsprov
exam and finally I became Godkänt in 7th May 2019 exam for the first time and less than 4
months after coming to Sweden.
I hope that my experience on this exam could be helpful for all you , my colleagues to pass
this hard exam.

My result on the exam:

How to get ready:

1. First aid USMLE step 1:at first time reading try to summarize important topics below
each page in your language. For the second time I just read my own summarized notes
and repeated them.

2. Hypocampus website:100 viktigaste file +some another topics which is not included in
100viktigaste and I found on Hypocampus. Also I summarized all of them in a
notebook in my language and for second time I just read my notes.

3. Umeå tentamen and old kunskapsprov (last 2 years).

4. on the same time I was reading old exams(last kunskapsprov+Umeå tentamen), I made
a notebook and I searched the topics which is not in Hypocampus and USMLE and I
translated them to my language and made notes there. this plays an important role for
final reviewing.

5. Rarely some topics is special to Sweden and are a little different to another countries
such as, Rätt medicin, some Anti Biotic therapy and etc. For this I recommend you
internetmedicin website.

6. Finally: make notes for every new topics and different guidelines because there are a
lot of topics that should be reviewed and summarizing is very helpful. The most
important thing is reviewing! Do not waste the time for new less important topics.
