transportation facilities will permit. For transport dimensions criteria see
specification N° P5SL-0000-15TS-0010 Modularización.

2.6 Modularization
Due to adverse weather conditions such as strong winds, snow and extreme
temperatures as indicated in the General Site Conditions P5SL-0000-25TS-2001,
the Suppliers shall consider as part of its furnishment a plan to achieve maximum-
efficiency assembly at their own factories or intermediate installation for pre-
assembly components, before the delivery to the temporary outdoor storage area
on site.
Sizes and weights limits for the modules or pre-assembly subgroups to be
transported are indicated in specification N°P5SL-0000-15TS-0010 Modularización,

where further requirements regarding modularization are indicated as well, to be

considered by the Suppliers.
The Project Pascua-Lama heightens the importance of the pre-assembly method,
inasmuch as it contributes to decrease the work on a field with strong weather
conditions and of difficult geographic location. Each contribution made by the
Suppliers to enhance this concept shall be object of study during the bids evaluation
process. All bids shall include a modularization and pre-assembly plan.
The equipment and its auxiliary components shall be supplied with appropriate
parts rationalization in order to improve installation activities. The Suppliers shall
follow the general criteria defined on this document, sections 2.1.4, 2.1.5 y 2.1.6.
