ORDER :

Government after careful examination hereby appoint Sri Ajeya Kallam,


IAS (Retd.) as Principal Advisor to Chief Minister in the rank of Cabinet Minister.
2. He will be head of the Chief Minister’s Office who will allot the subjects
between Secretaries of Chief Minister’s Office. He will be authorised to call for
advice from across the departments and all Advisors of Government will also be
accountable to him.
3. The terms of appointment shall be as follows:
a. The term of appointment shall be initially for a period of (3) years;
b. A fixed remuneration of Rs.2.5 lakhs per month shall be paid;
c. TA & DA will be admissible on par with that applicable prior to his
retirement;
d. A Government vehicle (or) a suitable hired vehicle will be provided;
e. Government accommodation (or) hired accommodation will be
provided.
4.1 Government further orders creation of the following posts temporarily in
the peshi of Principal Advisor to Government, co-terminus with his tenure.
a. Officer on Special Duty (OSD) - 01
b. Private Secretary - 01
c. Personal Assistant - 01
d. Drivers - 02
e. Office Subordinates - 04
4.2 These posts will be filled on O.D basis with the same scale of pay and
allowances as the individuals are drawing in their parent departments and
Special Pay as eligible to the posts for attending duties in the Peshi of Principal
Advisor to C.M.

4.3 The drivers and office subordinates may be hired on contract by the
Principal Advisor at the same rate of pay as is applicable to the outsourcing staff
performing similar duties in Government.
5. The General Administration Department are requested to take necessary
action to appoint the staff in the peshi of Principal Advisor to Chief Minister on
deputation.
