Part 1:

There is friction between a moving object and the air. Gravity is the force that pulls an object down to
the Earth. On each of these diagrams, one arrow (A or B) represents friction and the other arrow
represents gravity. Complete the table below, by writing A or B. The first one has been done for you.

Part 2:
Write down underneath each of the diagrams is moving/not moving. If it is moving, show the direction it
is going in, by drawing an arrow. The first one has been done for you.

Part 4:
Based on the following diagram answer questions below:

a. State the name of the forces that the arrows on the owl and the pussy cat’s boat represent.

b. If the owl flew away, suggest how would the forces on the boat change.

c. If the boat started to leak, suggest how would the forces change.
The force will increase and will make the boat to drawn.

d. Suggest what would happen when the boat was filled with water.
