1. Tom Pushed the Car – Tom is the noun, pushed is adjective, the is the determiner or
article and Car in the Noun. The relationship is that they are all dependent on each
other to form a sentence. In particular Noun is followed by an adjective which is then
followed by a noun in the end.
2. Nouns, Pronouns, Verbs, adverbs, adjectives, prepositions
Reason – Noun has the longest subheading such as concrete, mass, relative, common
and abstract. Pronouns are second because they are substitutes of nouns eg his or her
in place of Tom or Mary, Third – Verbs are doing words typically associated with
nouns, Fourth- Adverbs- ends with -y, -ly, -ily. Fifth – adjectives – describes a noun.
Sixth – prepositions because they are dependent clauses because they cannot stand on
their own.
