INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing this volume from the Loopmasters Artist Series sampling collection,
we truly hope that you enjoy your purchase.

The Artist Series brings the sounds and inspiration of some of the worlds best known music producers
and artists directly to your desktop, and we hope that the series will help you develop your own styles
and ideas whilst benefiting from a truly versatile source of sounds for your productions.

We have worked hard to bring you a truly flexible collection of samples from some influential people in
the music world, who have shaped much of the music that you listen to today.

By working with Loopmasters the Artists have been able to concentrate on creating some truly
inspirational soundsets whilst we have taken care of the formatting and presentation to make sure that
you get exactly the sounds you need, and in the right formats.

We truly hope you enjoy using these samples as much as we enjoyed bringing this concept together -
and we wish you all the success in your future productions!

USING THE DVD

You should find using the DVD quite simple - but we have included many file types for users of many
computer platforms and software setups, so simply find the file type or software you are using from
the list below and you will see what you need to do to get working with the loops and samples in the
artist series.

Apple Loops
Simply copy the contents of the APPLE LOOPS folder to your Apple Loops folder on your Hard drive

Stylus RMX Users

The folder Structure for Rex files on this Loopmasters title is fully compatible with stylus RMX. Ensure
you have the latest version of STYLUS RMX and the Sage converter.

To Import: simply drag the folder inside the REX FILES folder onto the “Import Rex Files" button on
your sage converter found in the Spectrasonics folder on your hard drive. Wait for the sage converter to
finish.

To Play: Open up an instance of RMX within your sequencer.

On the directory select user "libraries" and you will see the imported library click on this and you should
now see all the suites and elements in the browser.

Kontakt Users
Once you have loaded the CD/Download onto your computer, use Kontakt's “Files” browser to locate
the main folder on your hard drive then locate the folder named SAMPLER PATCHES, from here locate
the KONTAKT folder Finally click on the folder of patches you wish to load e.g. DRUMS.

Then simply double click or drag the Kontakt patches into the main Kontakt Window. Continued...

Halion Users
Once you have loaded the CD/Download onto your computer, use Halions's File browser
to locate the main folder on your hard drive then locate the folder named SAMPLER
PATCHES, from here locate the HALION folder Finally click (+) on the folder of patches
you wish to load e.g. DRUMS.

Then drag the Halion patches into the main Programs Window.

Alternatively highlight the folder type e.g. Drums and press the Import button to load all
of the patches from that folder.

Reason NNXT Users

Once you have loaded the CD/Download onto your computer, Create a new NNXT
sampler in your Reason song. Use the Browse patch button on the NNXT sampler and
from Reason's File browser locate the main folder on your hard drive then locate the
folder named SAMPLER PATCHES, from here locate the NNXT folder Finally click on the
folder of patches you wish to load e.g. DRUMS.

Then select the double click the NNXT file you wish to load or highlight the File and then
press OK.

Ableton Live's Sampler Users

Installing the Live pack for Ableton:

Copy the CD to your hard drive then locate the live pack within the main folder

To unpack the Live pack (i.e., to restore the original Live project), double click the Live
pack, or drag it into the Live main window, or locate it via the file menu's ‘install live

Live will then request that you choose a location for the new project.

Adding the projects, samples and patches to you library:

1. Open the projects live set to make this project the current project

2. Choose the ‘manage files’ command from file menu

3. Click the ‘manage project’ button

4. Unfold the ‘export to library’ section by clicking the arrow on its left hand side and
click the ‘export’ button.

You will now be able to locate all the samples in your library .

EMU Emulator X2 Users

Once you have loaded the CD/Download onto your computer, Via the System Tab on
Emulator X2 locate the main folder on your hard drive then locate the folder named
SAMPLER PATCHES, from here go to the EMU X2 folder Finally open the folder of
patches you wish to load e.g. DRUMS then open the corresponding .exb bank folder.

Then right click on the Emu Bank patch and click LOAD. Switch to the Sampler Tab and
you will then be able to select the presets for that bank.

EXS24 and EXSP24 Users

Once you have loaded the CD/Download onto your computer, Locate the main folder
and copy and paste the Sounds and Fx wavs folder and the EXS24 Folder (found in the
SAMPLER PATCHES folder to your Sampler Instruments Folder.

Load up an instance of EXS24 or EXSP24 and load the patches from the browser.

Cakewalk Dimension and Rapture Users

Installing patches for cakewalk dimension and rapture:

Copy the CD to your hard drive

Copy the folder ‘sounds and fx wavs’ folder into your cakewalk/(dimension) or
(rapture)/multisamples folder.

Copy the ‘(dimension) or (rapture) elements’ folder to your cakewalk/(dimension) or

(rapture)/elements folder.

Open an instance of dimension or rapture and right click on any of the element buttons
and select ‘load element’.

Locate the imported elements folder and simply select which element you wish to load.

NOTES FOR SAMPLER PATCHES

If you do wish to move samples and patches to a different location on your hard drive, it
is recommended that you copy the samples and folders rather than just moving them.
This is because if samples are moved from their original location, it may not be possible
to load some patches into your chosen instruments.
