1. Find  the  equation  of  a  line  parallel  to  3x  –  4y  +  6  =  0  and  passing  through  the 
midpoint of the line joining the points (2, 3) and (4, –1).  

2. Find  the  equation  of  a  line  passing  through  (2,  1)  and  parallel to the line joining 
the points (2, 3) and (3, -1).  

3. Find  the  equation  of  a  line  perpendicular  to  2x  +  3y  –  2012  =  0  and  passing 
through (3, 4).  

4. Find  the  equation  of  a  line  perpendicular  to  2x  –  3y  –  5  =  0  and  cutting  an 
intercept 1 on the x-axis.  

5. Find  the  equation  of  the altitude through A of ΔABC,  whose vertices are A(1, 2), 


B(4, 5) and C(3, 8).  

6. Find  the  slope  of  the  lines  which  make  an  angle  of  45°  with  the line 3x – y + 5 
= 0.  

7. Find  the  equations  of  the  lines through the  The line makes an angle of 45° with

8. A  vertex  of  an  equilateral  triangle  is  (2,  3)  and the equation of the opposite side

intercept of length 3 between the straight lines 4x + 3y = 12 and 4x + 3y = 3.  

10. Two  equal  sides of an isosceles triangle have the equations  7x – y + 3 = 0 and x 


+  y  =  3  and  its  third  side  passes through  the point (1, –10). Find the equation of
