Bophorus Cymbals is dedicated to providing discriminating
drummers with genuine handmade Turkish cymbals.
Each cymbal is completely hand forged in Istanbul by master artisans
using a time honored process passed down through generations.
This creates a depth of nuance simply not found in machine made products.
Additionally, we’re working to develop new sounds to meet the needs
of today’s drummers working in every genre.
As a drummer I am passionate about my role in helping to keep
this great tradition alive, and possibly even adding to it.

The Antique Series marries the two lathing patterns found on the
Traditional Series and the Turk Series. This unique family combines
the brilliance of a classic, lathed cymbal and the complex dryness
of a raw, unlathed cymbal. The top side of the cymbal features an
unlathed bell and a narrow strip of unlathed cymbal
centered between the bell and the edge.
The bottom side of the cymbal is completely lathed.
Expect strong definition and ample but controlled overtones from the
rides. The crashes produce a slightly mellowed tone with quick decay.
The varied playing surfaces provide a range of sonic textures.

The Rockett ride offers up 3000 grams of hard hitting metal mania.
This handmade masterpiece provides multi playing surfaces with its raw
oversized unlathed bell that leads to a fully lathed center and then back to
an unlathed outer ring. Expect a warm strong ping with a
low growl of a wash. The dual playing surfaces offer a
