STORIUM INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS AGREEMENT

This Agreement (“SIPRA”) is between individual persons using and in active possession/ownership of the following
www.storium.com (“STORIUM”) usernames nautilus_project (“NARRATOR”); and Beautifuldreamer, ConstantineStories,
dancingcrane, Ginkgo, gunslinger, Hellionaire, HHenna, jomala, Klei, Muffle, Selsynn, Toodles6, wickedmouthful (“PLAYERS” or
“PARTICIPANTS”) and/or dancingcrane, Ginkgo, Klei, Muffle, Selsynn, Toodles6 (“READERS”) and/or Beautifuldreamer,
ConstantineStories, gunslinger, Hellionaire, HHenna, jomala, wickedmouthful (“WRITERS”) as it pertains to the Writers Room:
Short Story Challenge, whose details are posted thus: https://storium.com/game/writers-room-short-story-challenge/green-room
(“GAME”)
as of May 25, 2020.

NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises, covenants, and conditions contained herein, the sufficiency of which is
hereby acknowledged, the parties so named above agree as follows:

TERMS

1. First and foremost, this agreement supersedes the Storium community license in the following ways:

a. Ownership and Use of Game Content

i. You agree that all original content posted by you to this Game is NOT jointly owned by all participants in
the Game at the time the content is posted or thereafter, and is instead the intellectual property of the
person who wrote it.
ii. Each participant is the owner of their own original written content, in its entirety, completely and without
exception.
iii. As the owner of your content, you may use it outside Storium for any purpose without license from the
other participants.
iv. Other participants may NOT use the content outside Storium for any purpose without license from you,
the owner.
v. You continue to own the content even if you leave the Game. However, you have no ownership interest in
any content posted to the Game when you are not a participant.
vi. You have a general right to delete content from the Game that was posted by you, subject to limitations
arising from the design of the Storium platform. You agree that Protagonist may design the Storium
platform to expand or limit your ability to delete content. The ownership rights of other participants do
not impair your right to delete your content. Likewise, to the extent that your ownership rights in any
content might impair another participant’s right to delete content, you grant that participant an absolute
license to delete that content. Your ability to delete content does not impair the ownership rights of other
participants or preclude them from using their content outside Storium.
vii. If you are a player, you may edit or delete your character and any content you post associated with your
role, subject to the functionality of the site. If you are a host or narrator, you may edit any content you
post associated with your role, subject to the functionality of the site.
viii. The Game may be deleted in its entirety at the host’s request and only with the agreement of all current
participants.
ix. The game can only be deleted if everyone agrees. Details can be found here.
x. The Game may be based upon a “World,” which is a pre-made collection of content, separate from the
Game, that can be re-used in the course of playing the Game. The person who created the World in which
the Game takes place is the “creator”. The World you use, if any, may affect your rights under this
agreement.

2. The intended purpose of this agreement is to protect the intellectual property of writers who may wish to later publish
their original content elsewhere, and is meant to protect each writer's material from the community licenses “joint
ownership” clause.
3. The game in question utilizes the Storium Community License and all terms in that license agreement that are not
superseded by this agreement are to be deemed binding as per the original agreement to which all users of the site must
agree.
4. Suggestions, ideas (e.g. writing prompt cards, settings and other materials created by readers and/or the narrator and given
to writers in the game) are, for the purposes of this agreement, not considered material contributions and therefore do not
provide joint ownership of the stories to the participants who created them.
5. Acceptance of this agreement will be determined by card selection in a challenge in the game itself, on Storium.
6. If you choose to accept the agreement, you will play an “Accept” card and all terms of this agreement will become binding.
7. If you choose to reject the agreement, you will play a “Reject” card and you will have to remove yourself from participation
in the Storium.
8. By not participating and agreeing or rejecting this agreement, you are indicating intent to not comply and not participate,
and will either remove yourself from the game, or be removed by the narrator.
9. A PDF copy of the signed agreement will be sent to all players who participate and agree to the terms contained herein.
10. By agreeing to this, you also consent to the possibility of this agreement being posted online and a link shared to the
document for your ongoing reference.
