CROCHET I SKILL LEVEL : INTERMEDIATE

LACE HAT | CROCHET SHOP KIT

Reverse sc: Insert hook in next st to the right and pull up


a loop, yo and pull through both loops.
Fphdc: Yo, insert hook from front to back around post of
next st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through all 3
loops.
Bphdc: Yo, insert hook from back to front to back around
post of next st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through
all 3 loops.

HAT
Round 1 (Right Side): Ch 3, 8 hdc in 3rd ch from hook;
join with a slip st to first hdc – 8 sts.

Round 2: Ch 2, 2 hdc in each st around; join – 16 sts.

Round 3: Ch 2, * 2 hdc in next st, hdc in next st; repeat


from * around; join – 24 sts.

Round 4: Ch 4, dc in same st (counts as 1st V-st), * skip


next st, SmFan in next st, skip next st, ** V-st in next st;
repeat from * around, ending at **; join to 3rd ch of ch-4.

Round 5: Ch 2, hdc in same st, * 2 hdc in next ch-1 space,


hdc in next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st, ** hdc in next 2 sts;
repeat from * around, ending at **; hdc in last st; join – 48
sts.

Round 6: Ch 2, * hdc in next 5 sts, 2 hdc in next st; repeat


Lace Hat from * around; join – 56 sts.

Round 7: Ch 4, dc in same st (counts as 1st V-st), * skip


next st, SmFan in next st, skip next st, ** V-st in next st;

Hat circumference is 18”. Round 8: Slip st in 1st st, (slip st, ch 4, dc) all in next
st, * SmFan in next ch-1 space, ** V-st in 2nd dc of next

Crochet Hook: 3.5mm [US E-4]. Fan in next ch-1 space, ** V-st in 2nd dc of next SmFan;
Yarn needle. repeat from * around, ending at **; join; turn.

GAUGE: Rounds 1-7 = 4”. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use Rounds 10-20: Slip st in 1st 2 sts, (slip st, ch 4, dc) all in
any size hook to obtain the gauge. next st, * Fan in next ch-1 space, ** V-st in 3rd dc of next
