3.2 Adding Storage Resources
In this section, the storage resource to be added is a remote NAS storage resource. You need
to prepare the NAS resource, and then import the NAS VM.
Import the NFS VM, which is prepared by the trainer or created by trainees based on the
appendix.
Step 1 Create the port group required by the NFS VM.
Create the port group named PG based on section 2.8 "Creating a Port Group" (the port group
is in Access type, the connection mode is VLAN, and the VLAN ID is 16).

When the disk mode is dependent, a snapshot can be taken for the disk. In the independent &
persistent mode, disk changes are immediately and permanently written into the disk, which is
not affected by snapshots. The system does not create snapshots for the disks of a VM when
creating snapshots for the VM. It also does not restore the VM disks when restoring the VM
using the VM snapshot. In the Independent & nonpersistent mode, disk changes are
immediately written into the disk, but are discarded after the VM is stopped or restored using
a snapshot.

All VMs can be migrated if only the hosts are changed. When data stores are migrated in disk
mode, disks with shared storage attached and non-persistent disks cannot be migrated.

If both the hosts and data stores are migrated for VM migration, can the migration be
