Task 2: With your partner: In your own words give a short plot-summary of the
episode. What did they do to the car? Would you have done anything differently?
Task 3: Quizlet: Follow the link: https://quizlet.com/113409012/car-mechanics-flash-
cards/ and do the quiz. Fill in the table with new/important words. Translate the words
into Norwegian and use them in a sentence.

Task 4:
You are going to write a text in the given genre. This time you can
choose to write either a short story or an essay.
If you choose to write an essay you need to write an introductory
paragraph, a body consisting of minimum three paragraphs, and a

If you choose a genre like a short story the structure is less important.
Then you need to describe people and atmosphere instead.
Write a text where you start your sentences with a capital letter and
finish with a full stop. Write these as correctly as you can when it comes
to spelling, variety in your vocabulary and with an English flow.

ASSSIGNMENT: Write a text that you call “Pimp the customer`s car!”

Your customer is a billionaire who wants you to pimp his/her ugly, rusty car – a
car which he/she has a special affection for. Write a short story or an essay
about pimping his/her car.

Describe:
1) The billionaire’s car before and after upgrading:
 the car type and brand
 the purpose of the car
 exterior features: colour, design, size
 interior features and performance: engine type, fuel consumption
 exterior and interior car parts and accessories
 the adjustments done
2) What difficulties did you come across while pimping the car?
3) What disadvantages and advantages are there to work for billionaires?
 Your general experience in pimping a wealthy customer`s car.

The meaning of the word PIMP: “To add things to something to make it look or
sound better, especially by making it more individual.”
