Important Information
When testing must be done in a closed area, activate the brakes and use
blocks to prevent movement of the machine during the tests. Let only
approved personnel on the machine. Keep other personnel off the
machine and in view of the operator.
NOTE: All tests and adjustments must be made with the oil in the hydraulic control system at the
normal temperature for operation. Be sure the linkage adjustments are correct before making any
tests.

SELECTOR VALVE
1. Body of the selector valve. 2. Spool for speed selection. 3. Body of the pressure control valve. 7. Spool for direction
selection.
1. Make the adjustment to direction spool (7) so the end of the spool is flush (even) with the front face
of valve body (1) when the spool and detent are in the REVERSE position.
2. Make the adjustment to speed selection spool (2) so the end of the spool is flush (even) with the
front face of valve body (1) when the spool and detent are in the FOURTH SPEED position.
NOTE: Tighten nuts on the end of spools (2) and (7) to a torque of 25 ± 5 lb.ft. (34 ± 7 N·m).
Do not make any adjustments to the linkage with the engine running.

2. Put direction control lever (8) in NEUTRAL. Make an adjustment to direction control rod (1) and
connect the rod to control lever (8).
4. Turn speed control handle (4) in a counterclockwise direction, until rack (5) is .06 to .12 in. (1.5 to
3.0 mm) above the top of housing (3). Make an adjustment to the end of rod (6) to dimension (A).
Install the cap (2).
5. Put speed control lever (10) in FOURTH SPEED position. Make an adjustment and connect speed
control rod (11).
6. Make an adjustment to the indicator collar to the FOURTH SPEED position and tighten the
setscrew.

3.0 mm) above the top of housing (4). Make an adjustment to the end of rod (6) to dimension (A).
Install the cap (3).
5. Put speed control lever (10) in FOURTH SPEED position. Make an adjustment and connect speed
control rod (11).
6. Make an adjustment to the indicator collar to the FOURTH SPEED position and tighten the
setscrew.

4. Turn speed control handle (4) in a counterclockwise direction, until the rack inside housing (3)
is .06 to .12 in. (15 to 3.0 mm) above the top of housing (3). Make an adjustment to the end of rod (6)
to dimension (A). Install the cap (2).
5. Put speed control lever (10) in FOURTH SPEED position. Make an adjustment and connect speed
control rod (11).
6. Make an adjustment to the indicator collar to the FOURTH SPEED position and tighten the
setscrew.
