ÖSD
The links contain the example tests, together with the audio files for the reading part. On the
center of the page, a rough description of the test can be found, while the actual downloads are
located on the right. Solutions are included at the end of each PDF. If you’d like someone to check

A placement test by dw.de to help you determine your competence level in German according
to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

Self-assessment checklists
Here you can find checklists for each level of German that should help you get a rough idea of
where you’re at. If you can (honestly) mark at least 80% of the checkboxes, it should mean that
you’ve managed to get to the said level, congratulations! Following checklists are in German:
A1 - A2 - B1 - B2 - C1 - C2
But also available in English here (A1 - C2).

If you need a rough overview what your current level might be, there is also a CEFR-grid for you
to use.
