More Magick

This document discusses reservoirs and foci for storing and focusing magical energy. Reservoirs include glyphs, shrines, magical tools, and in some traditions, eyes. Glyphs are inscribed symbols that can charge portable items or locations. Shrines are non-portable sites where offerings left over time charge the area, often near ley lines. Tools obtain power through ritual use. Foci are used to direct existing magical energy, boosting rituals' power, effects, and success rates. Foci can also serve as reservoirs or tools, and may be general or specific to a tradition or rite.

Reservoirs - Items used to store magickal energy

 Glyphs - inscribed in portable items or on meaningful locales (such as carven pentacles)
 Shrines - non-portable - offerings left may eventually charge the area. Many shrines are often built in
proximity of ley lines.
 Magickal tools - items that have a function to the practitioner in addition to reservoir capacity. Many items
obtain a magickal charge through years of ritual use.
 Eyes - Chlendi Tradition - Often the eyes of practitioners or magickal creatures, they are preservers then
enchanted for storage.

Foci - Items used to focus existing magickal energy, increasing the power/effect/success rate of rituals and spells.
 Foci are often indistinguishable from magickal tools or reservoirs.
 Exist as general, or specific to a particular arcane knowledge, cyrapti, magickal tradition, or even individual
rites.
