Step by step
1. Find a location where you can build your escape room. This can be a room, but also
for instance the classroom.
2. Glue the front and the back of the template of the suspects together.
3. Take the sheet with the secret key and code the solution with the Rosicrucian secret
code.
4. Then copy the solution (in secret code) on the back of the template of the suspects.
5. Cut the template of the suspects in six pieces, guided by the dashed lines.
6. Now choose, depending on the number of numbers on your numeral lock, a number
of sequential cards from the deck of cards. If your lock has 3 numbers, you could
choose queen, king, ace. If your lock has 4 numbers you could choose 8, 9, 10, jack.
Of course, you may choose any sequence you want.
7. On the back of these cards you write down the numeral code of your lock with a
marker. The first number of the code is written on the first card of your sequence.
Let’s say your code is 369. On the back of the card of the queen you would write
down ‘3’, on the back of the king ‘6’ and on the back of the ace ‘9’. The players have
to find the cards, figure out they need a sequence and find this to discover the
correct code.
8. Now hide everything.
9. In the lockable chest you put in 1 playing card and 1 piece of the template of the
suspects.
10. Now hide the key in a not too difficult place.
11. Place the chest somewhere very visible.
12. In the small box you put 2 pieces of the template of the suspects and the key to the
secret code.
13. Lock the box securely with the chain and the numeral code lock.
14. Place this box also somewhere very visible.
15. Place the tape next to the box.
16. Now place the other 2 playing cards and the 3 pieces of the template of the suspects
somewhere in your escape room. Some clearly visible and some hidden a bit.
17. When you’re done, you can call the player(s) inside.
18. Tell the player(s) the story, set the timer and wish them good luck!
