As beautiful as crores of rising suns and moons,

by a yellow silk is He adorned
Bejeweled with different ornaments, beautiful and dark like a cloud
is His luminous and majestic face;
Wealthed with a sea of grace and elegance, the One without salt,
with Lakshmi, chakram and conch;
Lord of Sri Vaikuntapuram*, of exquisite form, consort of Bhoomi Devi; I take refuge in Thee.

Owing to the fruits of Markandeyar’s great penance, In Sri Vyomapuram* long past;
Bhoomi Devi incarnated, wed the Lord of that city and She too forsook the taste of salt;
With eyes like the blooming lotus, to the faithful she gifts deliverance from fear,
She who is thus, may She increase all that is auspicious, She who tolerates all.
