i. Evolution of Trade unions in Kenya
ii. Freedom to join unions (Source: chapter 41 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010; chapter 4-14
of the Labour Relation Act, 2007)
iii. Freedom for collective bargaining ( Source: chapter 41 of the Constitution of Kenya
2010, chapter 54-61 of the Labour Relation Act 2007)
iv. Right to strike (Source: chapter 41 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010; chapter76-81 of

TEACHING METHODOLOGY
The format of the course is a combination:
i) Lectures
ii) Seminar discussions/group presentations

iv) Case studies and Exercises (group and individual).
