Canon Since their introduction in 1970 , the Canon FD
lenses have become recognized as the finest
lenses in the world by leading professional and

JWdQ) advanced amateur photographers . The current

series of about 40 lenses , cons Lsting of FD and
FL lenses, range in focal length from 7 .5mm
LENSES to 5200mm . The FD lenses can be mounted
not only on the Canon F· 1 and Canon FTb
cameras, but also on the new Canon TLb .
1. Canon Lens Fisheye 7.Smm F S.6 S.S.C.
An equidistant projection type of fisheye lens ,
which can be used to see a lBO ' field·of ·view
through the viewfinder w ithout fixing the mirror
upward .
2. Canon Lens Fisheye FD lSmm F2.8S.S.C.
This is a fisheye lens for general photography
with an angle·of·view of 1BO ' . It is the smallest
fisheye lens in the world .
3. Canon Lens FD 17mm F 4 S.S.C.
An incomparable 17mm wide·angle lens , provid·
ing distortion·free , sharp images from corner to
corner . A built·in Floating System eliminates
curvature of field. Can be used for copy work.

 16. Canon Lens FD 100mm F2.8 S.S.C.
One of the easiest·to·use telephoto lenses , with
the added advantages of being lightweight and
compact . Its telephoto ratio of 1 : 0 .93 makes
possible an overall length of- 57mm , the size of
most standard lenses . Very sharp especially at
close·focusing distances . Extremely suited for
taking portraits.

A very compact and lightweight 135mm tele ·
photo lens-a proven favorite with amateurs
and professionals alike .
18. Canon Lens FD 135mm F 2.5 S.C.
This lens is the fastest of all the FD telephoto
lenses. It is very compactly designed , having a
short telephoto ratio of 1 : 0 .98 . Suitable for in·
door sports , theater and live stage performances.

The most compactly designed 200mm telephoto
lens of all lenses in the 200mm class . Because
of compensation of field curvature and other
aberrations , high contrast and a sharp image are
obtained throu ghout the entire focusing range .

A high performance , compact telephoto lens with
a short telephoto ratio of 1 : 0.72. Has a rotat·
ing tripod attachment coller and a built ·in lens
hood. This lens also gives stabilized perform ·
ance under temperature fluctuations down to
-30 ' C.

Unexcelled high quality super ·telephoto lenses ,
using large size artificial fluorite crystals in their
optical systems. This lens material makes it
possible to completely eliminate secondary
spectrum and curvature of field. These two
Canon lenses are designed to be the most com·
pact in size of all Canon 's telephoto lens series.
23. Canon Lens FD 100-200mm F 5.6 S.C.
A compact, and lightweight zoom lens. Its zoom
ratio is adjusted to 2 : 1 to facilitate convenient
operation . The built ·in automatic aperture dia·
phragm mechanism further strengthens its snap·
shot shooting performance. Also suitable for
shooting scenery and sports.

A high performance zoom lens with a high zoom
ratio of approximately 3.5, the fastest lens in
thi s class of zoom lenses. Superior image de·

25. Canon Lens FL 55-135mm F 3.5
A very convenient zoom lens , which can be used
as either as a standard lens or telephoto lens.

Front convertible·type super·telephoto lenses.
By simply chan ging the front component , the
focal length can be adjusted to 400mm, 600mm,
800mm and 1200mm . The FL 800mm F 8, in
particular , is the world ' s shortest super ·tele·
photo lens in its class . The rear components,
automatic aperture diaphragm mechanism and
focusing adjusting device are built into the
optional Canon Focusing Unit.
