PRESENT PROGRESSIVE (CONTINUOUS TENSE)

A) Put the verbs into affirmative (+), negative (-) or interrogative (?); in present progressive.

 (+) My children (to eat) a piece of pizza.  My children are eating a piece of pizza.

 (+)The dog (to play) with the cat. The dog is playing with the cat
 (-)I (to draw): a landscape. I am not drawing a landscape.
 (?)Jhon (to plan) a trip. Is Jhon planning a trip? R/ Yes, he is planning
 (?)They (to choose) a nice coat. Are they choosing a nice coat? R/ Yes, they are choosing
 (+)My son (to tie) his laces. My son is tying his laces.
 (-)She's working here. – She isn’t working here. _
 (?)We are walking on the grass. – Are we walking on the grass? R/ Yes, we are walking _
 (?)I'm having lunch right now. - Am I having lunch right now? R/ Yes, you are having _
 (+)The men aren`t wearing ties. – The men are wearing ties. _
 (-)My father is fixing the car. – My father isn’t fixing the car. _

B) Questions with Wh

Ask for the information given in bold print.

My puppy is playing in the park. Where is your puppy playing?

1. Jhon is doing his homework. – What is Jhon doing? _


2. Anny is answering the questions. – Who is answering the questions? _
3. My cousins are flying to Cali. – Where are your cousins flying? _
4. That man is making a building at the moment. – What is that man a doing? _
5. She is driving her car carefully. – How is she driving her car? _

C) According to the five rules which were reviewed in last class, complete these sentences:
1. My step-brother is baking (bake) a delicious cake.
2. Carlos isn’t playing (not/ play) the drum.

5. My uncle isn’t getting (not/get) enough money
