MR-96A Operation Card (v1.0)
1 Powering On
Switch on the power of the instrument and turn on the printer. The system starts initializing
and then displays the main screen.
2 Introduction of Main Screen
Test Setup To add, change and delete test; view calibration curve of quantitative
tests; rearrange tests.
Run To program samples, negative control and positive control, controls
and standards on each microplate. Then select Start to analyze the
tests on the plate.
Reports To add, change and delete patient information; view and modify test
results; print out patient reports.
Result Review To search for history test results based on plate No. or test name.
QC To enter lot No., mean concentration and standard deviation of
controls; set up quality control criteria; view QC graph; delete QC
data of the current month.
System Setup To set up hospital name and system date/time; add senders, testers,
concentration units and departments; adjust screen, delete history
data; set up printers; adjust contrast and brightness.
Logs To view and delete event logs.
Shutdown To shut down the system and save the test data.
3 Setting up the System
When using the instrument for the first time, you must complete the following settings.
Click System Setup, then enter the hospital name and system date/time, select Internal
or External in the Print Setup field. Click Dictionary, then add senders, testers,
concentration units and departments.
4 Setting up Tests
9 Select Test SetupÆAdd, then enter the test information and select a calculation
method in the Basic Parameters area. The test name and primary wavelength are
required.
9 In case of a qualitative test, enter the factors, negative control(NC) and positive
control(PC) range of Cutoff formula in the Qualitative Parameters area. Select a
qualitative method and enter the result limit for negative and positive.
9 In case of quantitative test, enter the number of standards and their concentration in
the Quantitative Parameters area, and select a concentration unit. If Factor
calculation method is selected in the Basic Parameters area, enter k and b.
9 Select Test SetupÆOrder. You can rearrange the tests in an order (such as Hepatitis
B five tests), in which the tests will be printed on patient reports.
5 Running Tests
9 Select Run on the main screen, then select a move mode and place mode of plates,
and set up the shaking speed and time. Click the New button to select a test that you
want to run.

9 Select Sample, then click any unprogrammed well on the 96-well plate, a sample ID is
produced and displayed on the well, click the well again to change the sample ID.
9 Select NC-, then click any unprogrammed well on the plate, the well then displays NC.
9 Select PC-, then click any unprogrammed well on the plate, the well then displays PC.
9 Program QC, Blank and STD(standard) following the above-mentioned steps.
9 To clear the programmed information of a well, select Del(Delete) and then select the
desired well.
9 To program samples quickly, select All, then enter the start sample ID, and select the
start well and end well.
9 To delete all the programmed information and current test on the plate, select Clear.
When a test is finished, if you want to run other tests, select ClearÆNew and select a
new test; otherwise the new test will be run with the same settings as the previous test.
9 To start measuring the plate, select Start. Then the test results are displayed on the
screen.
9 Select Save to save the test results. To print out the results, select Print. To abort the
test results, select Return and return to the starting analysis screen.
Note: You must program the wells strictly according to the corresponding positions
on the plate with samples, NC serums, PC serums, reagents (for blank), controls
and standards placed.
Note: Before programming controls, you must perform necessary settings on the
QC screen. Select QC from the main screen. On the quality control screen, select
a test, enter the lot No., mean concentration and standard deviation of controls,
and select judgment criteria, then select OK to save the settings.
6 Printing out Patient Reports
9 Select ReportsÆAdd. A patient is added. Set up the patient information such as
patient name, sample ID, age, gender, department, sender and doctor. Then select
OK to save the settings.
9 Select a sample ID and click Result. All test results for the sample are displayed.
Select a result and click Modify to edit the test result. Then select OK to save the new
result.
9 When selected, the test records are indicated by an asterisk “*".Click Print to print out
the test results on patient report.
Note: The sample ID you entered here must be consistent with that used for test
programming. All test results of a sample ID on the current day will be gathered by
the system.
7 Reviewing Test Results
Select Result Review from the main screen. You can view history test results by plate or
by test. The test results of the current day are displayed by default. Select a date to view
much earlier test results.
8 Shutting down the System
Select Shutdown on the main screen. The system stores the test information, patient
information, etc, and then prompts “Data is saved successfully. You can switch off the
power now!”. Place the power switch of the instrument to OFF, and turn off the printer.
