Illustration Paragraph Writing (Rubric)

The rubric evaluates paragraphs on a 10 to 0.9 point scale based on 4 criteria: topic sentence and development of ideas (2%), use of illustrations (4%), use of linking words (2%), and use of language and grammar (2%). A high-scoring paragraph contains a clear topic sentence with topic and controlling idea. It uses 2 or more appropriate illustrations to fully support the ideas. Linking words are used correctly. The language and grammar are error-free.
