MARISOL LUNA
Third Girl of the Year Doll of American Girl
Doll Company

Marisol Luna lives with her father, mother

and her cat, Rascal, which she adopted when
she was seven, in Pilsen, Illinois. She’s
studying at the school nearby and known to be
the Two-Square Champion. Not far away from
their home, is a dance studio which she is
enrolled. Ballet folkorico is the dance she
is good at, but she was also learning tap and
jazz.
Marisol was so worried when she knew they
were moving to Des Plaines. Her worries
worsened when she found out that there is no
dance studio nearby because it was closed
recently.
She tried to find solutions, then she met
Miss Mendoza, the daughter of an old man who
lives just above the apartment they are
renting. Miss Mendoza was a former Rockette
and pushed Marisol to pursue ballet. She
teaches Marisol some other time, that’s when
Marisol had an idea.
Since, Mr. Mendoza, Miss Mendoza’s father
was about to get married for the second time,
Marisol thought that Miss Mendoza can move
out from her father’s house and move to Des
Plaines, too. Miss Mendoza thinks about it.
The story was concluded by Miss Mendoza’s
last word that she will consider it but will
not be sure if she can really open a dance
studio. I’m thinking what would the ending
be. If Marisol can continue her dancing
career or not.
