A. Purpose:
To establish a system of record for controlling the temperature and humidity related to the conditioning of test
sample and to maintain the confidentiality of testing information within the restricted area and provide defined
accommodation for each individual of the company
B. Scope:
Whole facilities & environment condition of laboratory.
C. Responsibility:
It is the responsibility of Asst. Manager, QA executive and all other staff to understand the details and any
associated roles and responsibilities in adhering to this procedure.
D. Cross Reference:
ISO / IEC 17025 : 2017 Clause No. 6.3,
Quality Manual, Section 6.3

E. Procedure: Environmental Conditions:


Pre-conditioning & Conditioning Area :
Conditioning Room shall be maintained at temperature 20±20C and relative humidity (654 %) which is monitored
and recorded by Thermo-hygrograph recorder in the conditioning room.
QA executive will investigate the cause and corrective action shall be taken if any abnormal condition is found.
In case of the breakdown of the conditioner, no more conditioning can be performed. Alternative arrangement is to
be undertaken at that time.
Notify the contractor for repairing the conditioner or oven.
Restricted Area
There are some measures to control access of some particular area of the laboratory such that the testing
information is kept confidential.
The notice "Restricted Entry” shall be labelled clearly on the entrance of restricted area.
The conditioning room, the chemical laboratory& the dark room, are the restricted areas.
For all visitors, they have to get permission (by telephonic contact, by appointment or instant verbal permission) by
Sr. executive laboratory before entering the laboratory.
A visitor card is given to every visitor who gets the permission for visiting the laboratory.

Building Facilities, Location & Construction Features
Each area of the laboratory is defined in Laboratory Floor Plan. There should be effective separation between
neighbouring areas when the activities therein are incompatible.
