Being a multi-faceted author, he moves between children’s literature, illustration, and theatre. From his interest in “designs that

speak, designs that tell stories” comes his “designed theater.”
Prehistoric Times as Told By Dinosaurs
Taking advantage of the unimaginable talents of the lighted blackboard, with an original technique, he breathes life into his
narratives. His capacity for observation and synthesis spills into theatrical performances that are forceful and captivating. He
regularly presents plays in theatres, schools, and libraries throughout Italy. He has participated in numerous festivals and cultural
events and collaborates with various Italian theatres.
Once upon a time there was a mountain . And on that mountain was a castle . And in that castle lived a
king and a princess . One morning, Princess Petunia said to her father, “Dad, see that sea over there?
I want it here!” So, King Romualdo had the sea moved to the mountain!
For the fish, the ships, and the pirates, the sea became a desert . But even though the fish, whales, and
hermit crabs couldn’t rebel, the pirates most certainly could… .
None of us humans were around back then . But there is a good source of information: a huge
dinosaur who’s now a skeleton in a museum .
A mini catalog of prehistoric reptiles . A look at the age of the giants .

All around us, the world of nature hops, trots, neighs, and brays in a bewitching celebration of life and
diversity . But when we capture it, all that changes . Everything… falls… silent . After all, nobody stays
the same if they’re a prisoner . But what if we could capture nature in the pages of a book?
Together with the big bulldozers, diggers, and dump trucks, the little bulldozer has been digging
a hole that’s grown bigger and bigger . But she’s so full of questions: ”What happens to the dirt
they dig out? And to the hole?“ “The dirt becomes a mountain, then the hole becomes a lake,
then, when they’re both finished, you can look up and see the sky .”
This then that! The little bulldozer is helping to build the sky!
Once again, Emma finds herself in the dark and apparently deserted museum . “Oh no!! What’s

preserve its magic . But where on earth could it be?

Guided by a blind museum guard with amazing insight and a deep knowledge of every painting
he looks after, a quiet tour of the museum turns into an adventure to find a missing painting. What

But suddenly she sees animals stomping down the corridor. They’ve decided to escape from those
paintings, where they’ve been trapped for centuries!

Everyone has called him Croco-dial since he swallowed a hunter’s alarm clock when he was a
baby. What rotten luck! Every morning at five o’clock, the alarm goes off, which makes all the
animals furious! And it’s impossible to go hunting with that ticktock ticktock always scaring away
his prey! Feeling sad and rejected, he runs away. But he ends up tripping over and falling down
a waterfall. After a dizzying dive and some boisterous bouncing, the alarm clock flies out of his
mouth and ends up… getting swallowed by an armadillo. Poor Alarm-dillo!

Once upon a time, there were five kings who ruled five kingdoms, each one of them a different
color. While the White Kingdom was orderly and organized, the people in the Red Kingdom
were grumpy all the time. While the people in the Black Kingdom were always scared, the
people in the Blue one were always cautious. Finally, the people in the Yellow Kingdom were
just so very proud of themselves. The five kingdoms were divided by distrust and high walls. But
one day the walls were struck by lightning. The colors mingled together, creating shades no one
had ever seen before! A modern fairy tale about joyfully accepting the diversity of other people.

Igor goes looking for a family. Every time he thinks he’s found one, though, it turns out that it’s

It looks like the time has come for Igor to leave home and take a journey.
Time passes in so many different ways. So, how can we help children understand the passage of time,
its rhythms, and its value? Maybe we should ask the patient sloths, the speeding eagles, the motionless
lizards, and many other animals to help.
A kiss is all you need to light up the world. None remembers their first kiss. Maybe it was gentle,
a little salty, a little shy. Then there are magical kisses, invisible but powerful. Some people give
kisses and then just forget. Others try to steal them. And then there’s that special one. The one
that, even though you didn’t know it, was always there inside you.

A young couple expecting a child leaves home, along with lots of other people, in search of a
better life. Across the sea, a country is waiting for them where everything is possible. A place
where wars, and even misery, don’t exist. Of course, they must cross the waves, but love can be
as big as the sea. A touching story that, in language suitable for children, explains the tragedy of
refugees forced by war to flee their homes while asking us to question ourselves about our own
responsibility.
Dealing with friendship and love, loyalty and justice, the power of money, and ethical, social,
and cultural clashes, The Merchant of Venice, one of Shakespeare’s greatest works, still speaks
to us from across the centuries, prompting us to reflect on ourselves and the present day.
A powerful story in which the words of the great classic combine with magical illustrations.

Format: cm 12 x 24 - Pages: 48
An ABC book about the theatre for children. But also for adults, since we should never forget
that the theatre is one big wonderful game. This isn’t about training mini actors but encouraging
children to recognize and use their own unique creativity. To be read in any order. Play all
the games or just the ones you like best. Look at the illustrations and invent new situations with
friends. Then read it all again from the beginning to the end. Or from the end to the beginning.
Just keep playing! And sharing!

If I were blue… I’d color in the sky. And then the summer. And then the water, a boat, and even
my shirt. If I were yellow… I’d make the sun shine. I’d make the wheat grow, the canaries sing,
and the little chicks cheep. But what if I were white? I’d bring all the colors together. I’d tell them
to play nice! A playtime book for discovering the world of colors.
A book of nursery rhymes in which the child asks the adult to let him do the reading, to let go of
his hand, but also to help him, give him encouragement, and to close their eyes together so they
can fly away. Learning means trying things on your own, doing and redoing, making a mess,
falling down and getting up again.

Gaia is creative. She likes telling fantastic stories using an explosion of colors on paper. But her mom

Finally, the contagious power of Gaia’s imagination will transport her into a secret world populated
by fantastic creatures.
Emma is eight. Baku, on the other hand, is a fantastic creature who’s blue from head to toe and
gobbles up her dreams. He never eats her nightmares, though, since they give him indigestion.
Once night, Emma keeps waking up. Her mom tries to make her go back to sleep because there’s a
big math exam tomorrow. Will Baku be able to gobble up all of Emma’s dreams?
A modern opera in which the mythological creatures that populate our dreams come to life and reality

This book, with beautiful illustrations, is the answer to the question that children ask as they grow: how
do you grow up? Children should be left free to explore in their own way. Curiosity and interest in
what they see will be the driving force that will make them grow up!
Format: cm 24 x 17 - Pages: 32
Children are wonderfully different every day and it’s useless to classify them into categories such
as: the shy, fearful, introverts, sociable, athletic... Through illustrations, seemingly distant from
one another, the author wants to refer to the variety of colourful fantasies that every child has
within.

E i lupi corsero
all’attacco.

on fu proprio l’indomani. L’occasione si fece aspettare
un po’. Un camion entrava passando rumorosamente
sotto l’insegna del cancello, uomini sudati scaricava-
no o caricavano; la mamma poi era quasi sempre in casa.

In a town that has lost the words for stories, an Acrobat and a Goose rekindle forgotten stories,
weaving together memory and imagination and putting words on the tips of their tongues...
When the Acrobat and his Goose leave one morning, they left the labyrinth of an old game to help
the town remember and tell tales.

It took a whole year of waiting before his parents got around to it – a year the little boy spent listing,
month by month, all the most impossible animals you could ever keep in your home.

The Dormouse’s THE HIPPOPOTAMUS
Daniela Iride Murgia
Format: cm 21 x 30 - Pages: 32
Tamo is a young hippopotamus. Every morning he lists all the things he can’t do, as well as the things
he can do. And what he does best is hatch eggs! With this special talent, he soon finds himself part
of a noisy, diverse, and enormous family. A story about kindness and caring for others, in which
difference is seen as a gift, and family is seen as a place of joyful sharing and mutual support.

Format: cm 23 x 33 - Pages: 32
A story that celebrates friendship and memories, without avoiding the emptiness we feel when a friend
leaves our life. Last spring, the dormouse and the lark were inseparable friends. Even though she had
wings and he didn’t, they’d meet on the highest branch of the tree. Even though she was always the
first to get up in the morning, they always had so much to talk about. But then she left.
Knowing that they’d probably never see each other again, the dormouse got ready to hibernate for
the winter. But when he woke up, he heard a song that filled his heart with hope.

have scared anyone with that sound: for him it would have been better to have a powerful roar like
a lion or a tiger…

A RAINBOW OF MY OWN
Alessio Di Simone - Alessandro Di Sorbo
Mom comes home from work to have lunch with me and then goes back out again. Outside, it’s rain-
ing and gray as I wait for Mom and Dad to come home. I’ve got some history and math homework
to do, but nothing difficult. And the rain keeps falling. I put a cup out the window to fill with water,
and the storm ends. There’s a new rainbow, and it’s all mine. The journey can begin. A very personal
look at rainbows as part of childhood imagery, told through the silence of colors, the little things with
huge importance, and daily routines, which can change from black to white by shifting your perspec-
tive – even by just a little.
IN A CIRCLE
Alessio Di Simone - Alessandro Di Sorbo
A book that goes around and around, following the moods of nature, time, and life. Two large eyes
open and close, taking in what’s around them as they follow the changing of the seasons, from spring
to summer to fall to winter. There are migrating birds, sap oozing from trees, falling leaves, the icy
wind off the sea. Then there’s a tree, the gentle and unaware protagonist of the story, forever in
change. Created on two sides – like the A and B sides of an old record – In a Circle is an illustrated
story that can be endlessly flipped, starting again each time in a different place. Just like the changing
seasons, which repeat and repeat, always the same but endlessly different.

An imaginary friend, a brother who flew away, a friend who left for some far-off place – Seb
is all those things. Or he could be. A book about that unique bond that can only exist between
children, whether they’re nearby, far away, or have never met. Set somewhere between dreams
and reality, the story looks at absence through words and its illustrations created using traditional
Chinese bamboo brush painting.

Athena asks her father, Zeus, to gift her a magnificent hilltop city where she wants to build her
temple. But Poseidon also wants the city. So, Zeus comes up with a challenge: “The one who
gives the people the most wonderful gift will become the god of their city. They will be given every
honor, and the city will take their name.”
The book imagines the origins of Athens, connecting them, through words and illustrations, to the
origins of the tree that symbolizes the Mediterranean region better than any: the olive tree.

When he was young, my grandfather was a great explorer. He went to so many places. Arabia.
Iceland. Asia. Africa. This is the story of one of his journeys. But told backwards.
One night in a big apartment block, a grandfather sits in the window with his grandson and tells
him a story. As the story becomes more and more astonishing, the building, its windows, and its
rooms all begin to magically change, following his journey around the world step by step. By the
end, everything disappears to reveal the breathtaking spectacle of the star-filled sky, made even
more special by the boy’s imagination.
An illustrated story that plays with the potential of the book’s format, with the final poster-sized
page using phosphorescent printing to make the constellations glow in the dark.

Once upon a time there was a princess. She was young, beautiful, and loved by all. But more
than anything, she loved to be alone and write. Whenever anything troubled her, moved her, or
surprised her, she’d write it down. Somehow it made the whole world more peaceful.
One day, though, her kingdom was invaded. She was put in prison with nothing but a pen. From
that moment, she never stopped writing. She wrote about her dress, her shirt, her feet, her hands,
every part of her body… With everything captured by her words, she kept her whole world alive.

It’s Paris in the early 20th century, and countless cake crumbs feel overlooked and rejected. They
wander forlornly around the city, not understanding the reason for their sad fate.
Sitting at the Jardins des Tuileries, Pepito, a churro crumb, gives precious advice to some orphaned
dough crumbs. He takes them to meet Bibì, a hardworking pastry chef who’s down on his luck and
not getting enough customers. All the crumbs unite in one of Bibì’s dough mixes, giving life to a very
special cake. And the first person to taste it is one of the hardnosed food critiques from the prestig-

French pastries, complete with sweet illustrations and recipes for the most famous delights.

UGLYCAT
Hurry Up, Lisa!
Silvia Oriana Colombo
Format: cm 27 x 23 - Pages: 32
Uglycat is part of Mamacat’s beautiful feline family. He got his name because of his messy, dirty-
looking fur. And he believes it. He thinks he’s so ugly that he doesn’t deserve the love of his mother
or siblings. So, he runs away. But events take an unexpected turn, and his homecoming is faster
(and happier) than anyone could have guessed.
Featuring delightful watercolor illustrations, this book looks at the difficult subject of self-accept-
ance to help kids understand and accept their own ways of being different.
Format: cm 28 x 21 - Pages: 32
“It’s late!”
“Come on! Get a move on!”
“It’s time to go, Lisa!”
“Quick! School will be over at this rate!”
There’s always a lot of cuffuffle in the morning at Lisa’s house. Time just rushes by for her parents
and siblings. Far too fast for little Lisa, who’d prefer to spend time in her world of games and
imagination. Adult time and child time pass at different speeds. They’re two different ways of liv-
ing. And sometimes that means big arguments and little dramas. Is there some way to stop time?
To slow down the clock? Just for a moment? A book that combines prose and rhyme, reality and
imagination, the world of children and the world of parents.

Sickness
Mia Lecomte - Andrea Rivola
Parrots in Tibet, ibexes in Brazil, seals in Venice, whales in London, crocodiles in the desert… these

With its light, fun rhymes, this book looks at the issues of migration and multiculturalism.
