The first thing I did this week, I went to our Barangay Hall to inform our
Barangay Captain about my advocacy, and he said he will support what
I was doing. Aside from that he also said at my age I still can’t go out, so
I must focus first on planting, since it is not yet possible to distribute the
vegetable, if ever I can ask for their help any time. He immediately
approved this advocacy because there seems to be no problem, since I
will use our own land.
Status of Implementation:
I began to fix the surrounding I removed the leaves that had fallen under
the tree, wood and all the stone. I notice that the space of the garden
was not good enough, and the planted vegetables were few, so I
decided to put it on the pot. I dig the soil near to our garden to put it on
the pot and I take some onion leave and ampalaya, then I plant it to add
more vegetable in the garden. I also sprayed water on the crops to
prevent them from dying.
I want to serve other people, to let them know that they are not alone in
this battle. I will do my best to provide a nutritious vegetable for each
family for them to stay healthy and away from any illness. I will serve
everyone as much as I can. Planting vegetable is the best to save life.
These were the planted vegetable in our garden. I took a picture to show it.

there things that I need to fix. I also spray water on them 3 times a
week to prevent withering. Since our garden is not big I asked our
neighbors who have an empty pot and they give one to two. I
planted mangos in one pot.
For the past days I’ve been monitoring the garden and I realize
something, garden are like a human being they also need our
support, love and care, because if I just leave it there will be no
improvement, and development. Like in the real life if you keep on
staring your neighbor who is about to die in hunger without even
doing anything you expect that to die, but if you do something you
can see an improvement in the way they smile. Human life is like
vegetable if the other grow it means it is constantly making a way to
live and when it dies it means it does not do anything to live, or
Reflection: maybe when it is cut off it means they deprived someone the
opportunity to live.
See even in simple way of panting I can make a reflection out of it.
Just like in gardening you may encountered a lot of problem and if
you don’t come up with a solution you can lose all your crops. Also
in life if you don’t know how to fight the hardships of life you can die.
But I making this Community Garden to help others and lessen their
burdens most especially in today’s situation. Plant to save Life!

Week Number: 2
All the pots that were given to me last week were used to plant monggo
and tomatoes. I did the proper procedures that my mom told me, I dig a
soil near our garden and I put on the pot. Actually, I don’t have a hard
time in doing it because I only put the seeds and I covered it with the
soil, then I spray water to it.
Status of Implementation:
Back to my routine monitoring the garden again, and I proud to say that
are already improvement and I can see that they are growing. Our
neighbors also took some vegetables there, but sad to say I forgot to
take a picture of it. I continue to do all the task in our Garden, watering
and planting new vegetable.
This advocacy has taught me that you don’t need to rich in helping
others you, you just need to think a creative way. When I did this
advocacy I thought I will spend money because of the seed that I will be
needed, but then again my mom told me that I have to buy a seed,
because I can use the seeds and the roots of the veggies, all I need is a
Reflection: fertile soil where to plant them. See, there are lots of opportunities to
help other people. In this time crisis it is my responsibility to help other
people by providing a food to eat and helping others is my greatest joy.
