Synthesis Paper MTH
Synthesis Paper MTH
Write a two-to three-page synthesis paper focusing on one of the following aspects of
mathematics:
(a) Mathematics helps organize patterns and regularities in the world.
(b) Mathematics helps predict the behavior of nature and phenomena in the world.
(c) Mathematics helps control nature and occurrences in the world for our own ends
“Mathematics helps control nature and occurrences in the world for our own
ends”
Mathematics is one of most important aspects in our daily lives. It helps us tell
time, assists us in finances, engage us with better problem-solving skills and helps us to
understand the world better. Mathematics is spreading across the universe, you could
see it almost everywhere. Through the tallest building in the world up to the smallest
detail of a particles.
Humans are good at counting things then adding, subtracting, dividing, and
multiplying so that equations can be formed to explain every piece of physical, three-
dimensional matter. If the equations do not equal zero, then little bits of matter can be
subtly and elegantly shifted into constants so that all the equations of that particular
concept will be the same. Law, order, and symmetry will work well in creating a
homogenous, Isotropic universe of heat and entropy that can be worked with.

Mathematics usually controls the balance of the amount of living and non-
living, helping science to solve such an increase of matter around us. Math is also used
to control every amount or heaviness of matter, just for example it helps the scientist to
know how much matter is needed to create medicines. Especially in this time,
Mathematics helps our front liners to create vaccines for the pandemic or Corona Virus.
Sometimes Math helps on how nature will be evolving over a period of time, which helps
us to be aware of what we will be needing to do in the future.
Mathematics can explain how quickly water becomes contaminated and how
many people in a third-world country drinking that water might become sickened on a
yearly basis. A study of geometry can explain the science behind architecture
throughout the world. Statistics and probability can estimate death tolls from
earthquakes, conflicts and other calamities around the world. It can also predict profits,
how ideas spread, and how previously endangered animals might repopulate. Math is a
powerful tool for global understanding and communication. Using it, students can make
sense of the world and solve complex and real problems. Rethinking math in a global
context offers students a twist on the typical content that makes the math itself more
applicable and meaningful for students.

2020 is a year of insight, hindsight and for open minded people, fore sight of
a planet of peace, unconditional love, and creativity. I personally think it is a year for the
open-minded people rather than those who like to count things. Especially money and
body counts.
