Predicting Bottom-Hole Pressure For Gas and Gas

This article summarizes a program developed to calculate static or flowing bottom-hole pressures for dry gas or gas condensate wells using well data. The program can calculate the equivalent flow rate, well stream gravity, gas deviation factor, gas viscosity, and static or flowing bottom-hole pressures. It provides accurate bottom-hole data needed to develop inflow performance curves, reserve estimates, and equipment performance curves for the tubing string.

Predicting bottom-hole pressure for gas and gas

condensate wells
Abstract
Accurate bottom-hole data are required in order to develop in ow performance curves
(prediction of well deliverability), reserve estimates, and equipment performance curves for the
tubing string. A program has been developed to calculate the static or owing pressures, at a
speci ed depth, for a dry gas or a gas condensate well using well data. The features offered by
this program include calculations of (1) equivalent ow rate, wet gas MMSCFD; (2) well stream
gravity; (3) gas deviation factor; (4) gas viscosity, CP; and (5) static or owing bottom-hole
pressures, PSIA.
