Strengths
Weaknesses
Lack of differentiating factors. I Pure does not have much to differentiate from the
other water refilling businesses.
Low profit: As known the mineral water is not expensive thus it is not so
profitable in the short term.
Lack of employees.
Purified water is just a “want”. There is still tap water that could be used.
There are already many refilling stations in the city.
Not yet have a strong brand name.
No strong relationship with customers.
Dependent to electricity.
Opportunities
Threats
New entrants: New competitor near the area (Alka Viva). Competition become a
deterrent to the growth of the business specially that Alka Viva offers a much
lower prices.
Low capital required: Since it is quite easy to put up a water refilling business, it
could be expected that new competitors may rise every now and then.
High brand switching: When it comes to water refilling business, people do not
generally have a brand preference. As long as they find it convenient, they will
take any brand presented to them.
Scarcity of water: Due to Global Warming and increasing population size, tap
water/raw water supply is getting scarce.
