1.C. REASON

Revision 0:

As a result of the embodiment of modification 074602, which modified the primary stop screws and installed a
double locking, it was found that the adjustment range of the bolts was sometimes not sufficient.

Since the structure cannot be modified, it has been decided to improve the primary yaw stop lever to prevent
major structure dispersions resulting in yaw authority limitation by creating modification 074819.

Compliance with this Service Bulletin cancels the mandatory scheduled inspection introduced by
ALERT SERVICE BULLETIN No. 05.00.64.

4. APPENDIX

4.A. ADJUSTMENT OF STOPS

4.A.1. Recording the position of pitch change plate dimension “M” (Figure 7)

4.A.1.a. Make sure that the tool (zz) to block the tail rotor is in the correct position (DETAIL E).
4.A.1.b. Measure dimension "M" between the pitch change plate and the tail gear box housing (DETAILS B and F):

CAUTION

WHEN TAKING THE DIFFERENT MEASUREMENTS,

DO NOT MODIFY THE ROTATIONAL POSITION OF
THE TAIL ROTOR.

- Position the blades so that they do not impede the measurements with the vernier.
- Make a temporary ink marking on the TGB housing and on the pitch change plate to measure always in
the same location.
- Measure dimension “M” between the pitch change plate and the TGB using the vernier.

4.A.1.c. Disconnect the pitch links (x) from the blades as per Task 65-21-00,4-12 (AMM) or Work
Card 64-10-00-402 (MET) (DETAIL E).
4.A.1.d. Remove the tool (zz) to block the tail rotor.

4.A.2. Job set-up (Figure 7)

4.A.2.a. If the yaw electrical actuator (q) is installed, set it to neutral.

4.A.2.b. Pin the collective pitch lever using the pin (350A94-2706-03) (r) if the collective coupling is installed.
4.A.2.c. Pin the actuator (s), using the pin (350A94-2706-03) (t) ("DUNLOP" actuator only).

CAUTION

MAKE SURE THAT THE STOPS IN THE LUGGAGE

COMPARTMENT ARE REACHED BEFORE THE
STOPS LOCATED UNDER THE CABIN FLOOR.

4.A.3. Adjustment of the stops (v) and (w) in the rear luggage compartment (Figure 7)

4.A.3.a. Adjustment of the stop in the FORWARD position.

- Move the yaw control rod (u) aft by hand, until the screw (1a) or (2a) comes into contact with the front part
of the reinforcement plate (v), as shown below:

- Adjust dimension "D1" by tightening or loosening the adjustment screw (1a) or (2a) (DETAILS C and D).
- Tighten and safety the locknut (1b) or (2b) with the nut retainer (1c) or (2c).
- Safety the screw (1a) or (2a) with lockwire CM 775 (10).

4.A.3.b. Adjustment of the stop in the AFT position

- Move the yaw control rod (u) forward by hand, until the screw (1a) or (2a) comes into contact with the rear
