Project PRM LOUNGE EXPANSION

Area Inspected Concourse B, B7 Special Handling Lounge

Reference No DSET #20

S No CORRECTIVE ACTIONS TAKEN/IMPLEMENTED


1 Scaffolding Safety:
During Inspection it was found that mobile scaffolding height base ratio exceed from
standards and outriggers were missing. The platform was not fully boarded. Lack of toe
boards.

Action taken:

The scaffolding was erected as per DM codes of construction for safety at Dubai airports.
Platforms were fully boarded and the toe boards were provided

2 Emergency Procedures:
There were no fire extinguishers to deal with any sort of fire emergencies. There was also
a lack of checklists for the First aid kit, ladders and full body harness.

Action taken:
The site was provided with fire points at important locations with extinguishers to deal
with fire emergency. The required checklists were maintained

3 Poor Housekeeping :
Poor housekeeping was noticed in the workplace

Action taken:
The site was maintained regularly with proper housekeep as far reasonably possible. The
waste was regularly disposed

4 Barricade/Signage:
It was noticed that insufficient barricade was provided and there was no signage for
awareness or information to the people at site

Action taken:
The pit was barricaded off and there was provision of warning tapes and barricades to
cordon off storage areas. Also the signage were provided to increase awareness
