Rationale The Department of Education is mandated to protect and promote the rights of all
citizens to quality education to all levels and shall take appropriate steps to make such
education accessible to all as stipulate Article XIV, section 1 of the Philippine Constitution. This
is part of the Deped Mission in response to each commitment of providing quality, equitable,
culture-based and complete basic education. In the Division of Lapu-Lapu City, Poo Elementary
School, there are 684 pupils who opted for Modular Learning Delivery with 25 number of
teachers, with 2 of them are Master Teachers and 1 School Head.
Our school is grounded in this premise that no learners left behind despite with this
new set-up of distance learning. Teachers need to constantly monitor their pupils learning level
as to how they go through with the modules given. Reading comprehension connotes big impact
in this current set-up of learning in the absence of the face to face classroom set-up.
Objectives Terminal :
 Strengthen teaching practices in the new normal as an imperative for learning.

 Understanding MELC and its unpacking
 Relating MELC in lesson plan making/content outline or module.

 Create lesson plan/content outline/module using MELC.


 Create learning materials to reinforce competencies that are difficult for the
