Student Instructions to register on Certiport

Carefully follow the steps below to set up your Certiport Login and Password.

1. Login to the UCPS network using your school login and password.
2. Go to certiport.com
3. At the top right of the screen, click on the REGISTER button
4. A “Welcome to Certiport” screen will appear. You will need to enter the
crazy characters security code and click enter.
5. When the Registration screen opens, enter the following information:
a. Enter country: (USA)
b. First name: (enter your first name, i.e. Cindy) (do not need to enter middle
name)
c. Last name: (enter your last name, i.e. Jones)
d. Birthday: (enter your date of birth)
e. User name: (use your school network login)
f. Password: (use your school network password)
g. Security question #1:
i. Choose – School 1st attended: type in all caps your school (i.e.
MRHS)
h. Security question #2:
i. Choose – 1st company worked for: type in all lowercase your
school mascot (ie.mavericks)
i. Click NEXT
j. Email: ######@student.ucps.k12.nc.us (use your UCPS email as
shown, be sure to replace the ##### with your student ID which is
the same as your user name)
k. Student/Employee ID: (Enter your school ID number -same as
your username)
l. Unclick the box: Allow Certiport to contact me
m. Use the school address: Line 1: _________________
City: __________
State: NC
Zip: 28____

n. Click NEXT
o. Status: Select Student
p. Gender: Select whichever one applies to you Male or Female – enter
this correctly - it is tied to your final certification which future
employers will see
q. Click SUBMIT
r. Select the button to TAKE EXAM
6. You should see the Program Registration Window open. Be sure the Programs
Tab is open
7. In the first section with the Green Bar named Microsoft, click on the
Register button.
8. When the Microsoft Registration screen opens, click the button “Use my
Certiport profile data”
9. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Submit
10. Go back to the Programs Tab and be sure the first Green Bar named
Microsoft now says “you are registered” and there is another button right
after it that says “edit registration data”
a. Click NEXT
b. Click FINISH
11. Read your messages (you will have 2 unread)
12. Close the window.
13. Remember your login and password (write it down if necessary) so you will
have it when you take the Certification Exam. You will not be able to take the
exam if you are unable to login on your exam day.
