Assalamu Alaikum,

The question that you have asked me is not something new or very unusual
for a learned and educated Muslim like you and me.
Like you, divisions among the Muslim Ummah have always bothered me and
driven me into deep thoughts.
Trust me, I really felt the necessity of finding out a reasonable ground for all
Muslims to stand together. May Allah forgive me, I am not beating my own
drums here!
I have read and listened to the people from various sects of Islam and tried
as hard as possible to match our commonalities. But I failed very miserably.
It only brought more confusions and ambiguity in my knowledge about
Islam. I don’t know, how much you know about our divisions and their
origins. Anyway coming to your query.
The question that you asked me was - “If a person get confused regarding
involvement either in Jamaat or Ahle Sunnah which would be better
considering all issues.”
I have thought a lot before writing this to you.
Here it is:
First of all, branding or involving myself in any group seems wrong to me as
it has been strictly prohibited by the Holy Quran. See-6:159, 30:31-31 and
42:14. If you divide yourself then it becomes idle worshiping according to the
Quran (30: 31-32). This is the common mistake that previous nations had
committed. [Please check these references.]
The vital question arises here is that- “If the Quran is explicitly prohibiting
the division among believers then why majority of the Muslims are still doing
this same mistake?”
The simplest answer is that we have moved far apart from the Quranic
teachings. I have found that this is the same mistake that the people of the
book (mainly Jews and Christians) used to do. See- 9:31.
Here is what this verse says, “They have taken their scholars and
monks as lords besides Allah, and [also] the Messiah, the son of
Mary. And they were not commanded except to worship one God;
there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they
associate with Him.” (9:31)
This is the verse that tells that taking the teachings of Halal and Haram from
any religious leader is same as taking him as lord beside Allah. Majority of
the Muslims today are doing the same by forgetting the Quranic teachings.
We are taking Hadiths, Fatwas and other false sources as our religious
teachings where the Quran is explicitly prohibiting these.
Quran says, “Then is it other than Allah I should seek as a judge
while it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in
detail?" And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture
know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be
among the doubters. And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled
in truth and in justice. None can alter His words, and He is the
Hearing, the Knowing.” (6: 114-115).

The two key points from here: 1. Source of law is only Allah; 2. The Quran is
fully detailed (Mufassal).
You can also check- 6:38, 7:52, 10:37 & 12:111. Now, what does a detailed
book means? Does it require any other book to explain it? Or is it self-
explanatory?
But we still believe that the Quran requires hadiths and Sunnah (secondary
sources) to explain it. The Quran is only called the best hadith (Ahsanul
Hadith).
The Quran asks the question, “In which hadith after this (Quran) you
will believe in?” (45:6)
This means any sources after the Quran is not trustworthy. Even the prophet
Muhammad (sm.) and the first four Caliphs banned recording of anything
other than the Quran. To me now, Quran is sufficient to believe in and act
accordingly.
You may know, the only complain that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) will
raise on the day of judgement is “And the Messenger (Muhammad
SAW) will say: "O my Lord! Verily, my people deserted this Quran
(neither listened to it, nor acted on its laws and orders).” (25:30)
 Since majority of the Muslims still can’t not rely on only one source (The
Quran), divisions among them will continue and consequences will be worse.
(I can give you some simplest examples from the Quran to illustrate how we
are contradicting the Quran willingly or unwillingly by following other false
sources.) Have a look on the following table sincerely:

04. Guaranteed Many companions According to Quran even Prophet
Paradise. (Specially 10 were Muhammad (PBUH) doesn’t know
confirmed Paradise) what will happen to him. See-46:9.
We all are passed through our actions.
We are said to have a possibility to
enter paradise according to the Quran.
The Jews were admonished in the
Quran as they believed that only they
were confirmed the Paradise.
These are some few basics that goes directly contradictory to the Quran. I can
give you hundreds of things that are made to manipulate the straight path in
the name of hadith literatures.(You must know the history of hadith
literatures).
I will conclude this document by quoting the following verses,
“And thus We have made for every prophet an enemy - devils from
mankind and jinn, inspiring to one another decorative speech in
delusion [To me, these are others sources than the Quran]. But if
your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them
and that which they invent (Hadiths and others). And [it is] so the
hearts of those who disbelieve in the Hereafter will incline toward
it and that they will be satisfied with it and that they will commit
that which they are committing. [Say], Then is it other than Allah
I should seek as lawmaker (judge) while it is He who has revealed
to you the Book explained in detail? And those to whom We
[previously] gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from
your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters. And the word
of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can
alter His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing. And if you
obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the
way of Allah. They follow not except assumption (Hadith and
others), and they are not but falsifying.” [6:112-116]

I know you will be thundered after reading all these and lots of questions will
turn around in your head. You can ask me any question at any time regarding
this. Please don’t take my views as truth or false immediately. You do
continue your study. Most importantly complete reading the Holy Quran.
You will find out how we are ignoring the Quran as our beloved prophet says
in 25:30.

more discussions than this. I may miss many things to explain myself to you
