Government College of Nursing Jodhpur: Practice Teaching On-Probability Sampling Technique

The document outlines a lesson plan for teaching nursing students about probability sampling techniques. It includes objectives to define probability sampling, discuss its characteristics, and describe types of probability sampling techniques including simple random sampling, stratified random sampling, systematic random sampling, cluster random sampling, and sequential sampling. The lesson would be delivered through a lecture and discussion using a PowerPoint presentation, handouts, and involve student participation and evaluation.

SELF-INTRODUCTION:
I am Priyanka Gehlot student of M.SC (NSG) prev. year student and
today’s topic for teaching is PROBABILITY SAMPLING
TECHNIQUE.

INTRODUCTION:-
Population is the collection of the elements which has some or the other
characteristic in common. Number of elements in the population is the size
of the population.
Sample is the subset of the population. The process of selecting a sample is
known as sampling. Number of elements in the sample is the sample size.

Probability Sampling is a sampling technique in
which sample from a larger population are chosen
using a method based on the theory of probability.
For a participant to be considered as a probability
sample, he/she must be selected using a random
selection.

The most important requirement of probability

sampling is that everyone in your population has a
known and an equal chance of getting selected.

For example, if you have a population of 100

create a sample that is truly representative of the
population.

SUMMARY:
The probability sampling technique uses randomization to make sure that every element of the population gets an equal chance to be part of the
selected sample. It’s alternatively known as random sampling. The most important requirement of probability sampling is that everyone in your
population has a known and an equal chance of getting selected.

The probability sampling technique is simple random sampling, stratified random sampling, systematic sampling, cluster sampling and
sequential sampling.

CONCLUSION:
The probability random sampling is more preferable because the researcher generate his data for the use of entire population by using
probabilistic method to control biased during the sampling, based on evidence generated by the statistical official that the non- probability
techniques is based.
