UC/US ID: Unique identifier for the UC/US


Objective: List the objective to be accomplished as part of this use case or user story.
Narrative: In the case of a user story, use the “As a [user/actor/role] I want to [task/activity] so that
[desired outcome].”
Actor(s)/Role(s): In addition to the primary role or actor, list other actors involved in fulfillment of the UC/US
goal.
Pre-Conditions: Conditions which must be satisfied prior to the occurrence of the UC/US.
Post Conditions:
Owner/Stakeholder: Primary point of contact or responsible party for responding to questions around the UC/US.

Business Importance to the business on a Complexity Anticipated complexity of the solution.


Priority (1-5): scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being most (L, M, H):
important.
Size Relative size in terms of effort. Criticality Criticality of the UC/US to the overall business
(S, M, L, XL): (M,S,C,W): objective. For example, highly critical
components would be those without which a
viable solution is not possible. Business
priority does not necessarily correlate to
criticality.
Dependencies: List and ID any dependencies on other UC/US or other external dependencies which would affect the
ordering/prioritization of this one.
