Extractor hoods
An extractor hood removes food odours, grease and steam. But it is also an important
design detail and provides effective light over the cooking surface. Best is when form and
function go hand in hand.

This is how you choose your extractor hood:

Choose your style

1 We have a wide range of hoods, which will co-ordinate with the style of your IKEA
kitchen. You can choose between hoods that make a big impression or more
discrete ones and between different colours.

Consider your space

2 Keep your kitchen fresh while cooking – choose an extractor hood suitable for the
size of your kitchen. The larger the kitchen, the higher the extraction rate you
need.

Two installation ways

3 Most of our extractor hoods can be installed in two ways. They can either be
ducted to the outside, or used in recirculation mode fitted with a charcoal filter.

How we conduct tests

An extractor hood should be able to recirculate the Save energy – and help the environment

The extractor hood/fan should always be mounted directly above the hob. For reasons of safety and functionality,
make sure to mount the extractor hood/fan at the recommended height above the hob. You’ll find exact
