Dragon Ball is a Japanese popular media franchise developed by Akira Toriyama in 1984. The first original manga,
drawn and written by Toriyama, was published in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1984 to mid- 1985, with the series'
second tank manga collected into 20 tankōbon volumes later. It was then turned into a TV anime. Dragon Ball Z is
the third major anime television program in Japan.

The story follows Goku, a young boy who starts out his training after seeing his deceased father, a master of the
martial art of the same name. He finds out that after death, a wish will come true if he uses the dying skill called
"ZERO". It is this talent that is said to be his strongest weapon against evil and has been his basis for his existence
in the universe. With this, Goku sets out to seek the one who can use it and defeat him. His journey will see him
become the greatest fighter in the universe. In the process, he will encounter many strong opponents who are
thrown into a tournament to determine who gets the right to use the Zoku Fuha, which grants some people
special powers.

Dragonball has gone through several expansions since its initial release. The first was a movie released in the year
2005 that revolved around the story. The movie, Dragonball: The Origin, gave a more detailed explanation on what
the Zoku Fuha is and how it is obtained. The movie has gone on to spawn four sequel films and a series of
television specials and an online game as well. A spin off series of the Dragonball series was released in the year
2007. This series, Dragonball Z, is based on the same concept but had a few changes to suit the TV show's format.
For one, the Dragonball characters were changed to kids wearing soccer uniforms. Another change was the fact
that the villains were now green skinned.

A third series, Dragonball GT, has been set to premiere in the summer of 2009. This series will be based on the
second book of the Dragonball series and will focus on a story where Piccolo was promoted to the rank of King
Piccolo. The TV show itself will be the same as the original Dragonball series. The Dragonball GT series will follow
the events that happened between the final battle and the start of Dragonball. It will likely focus on the fight
between Goku and Piccolo.

A few months after Dragonball GT was announced, a movie was released that chronicled the last part of the battle.
The movie, Dragonball Z, was met with both praise and disappointment from its fans. The movie did not help the
sales of Dragonball either. However, its success was due to the fact that it spawned a sequel. The movie
Dragonball Dragon Ball Z faq Z was a financial success because it received critical acclaim from many viewers and
critics. A couple of months later, a new Dragonball series was introduced to the world. Dragonball Z was a huge
success due to its excellent special effects and high visual detail. Dragonball Z was successful in terms of its plot,
characters, and general appeal. Dragonball Z was popular among children as well as adults.
