Why Should I Be Moral?
Why Should I Be Moral?
Becoming a moral person means that you have to be able to identify and evaluate what
is right and what is wrong. There are several reasons why I should be moral. First, it
helps people to associate with me freely: People tend to associate safely with others if
the other person is ethically moral, this can also start a fruitful relationship between
individuals. Moral traits serve as an indication to others from an adaptive point of view,
whether they should approach or avoid and whether they should be associated with
other individuals. Being moral thus attract real and close friends to you. The next reason
is that as someone who dreamt of becoming an entrepreneur, becoming moral will help
me succeed in my business: Usually, businesses with an inconsistent moral background
are treated with caution and are unable to gain new customers by word of mouth, and
are thus unlikely to survive. People without moral behavior in business tend to swindle
customers’ money or treat customers immorally. The customers will lose faith in the
business as the business is not trustworthy and is unethical. Treating customers well by
not trying to steal from them, always being honest with the prices will eventually
motivate the customers to come back, and even bring more customers as you are an
ethically moral business person who appreciates customers.
