measurable terms, knowledge, skills, attitude and
beliefs.
• Assessment in education is the process of gathering,
interpreting, recording and using information about
pupils responses to an educational task.

EVALUATION :-

in judging student progress in to know up to what extent
student should have achieved the desired set goal.
• Evaluation implies a systematic continuous , process

• Evolution is an act or process that allows one to make a
judgement about that desirability or value of a measure.

DEFINITION :-

• Evaluation is a systemic process of collecting evidence


about student’s progress and achievements in both
cognitive and non-cognitive areas of learning on the
basis of which judgement are formed and decisions are
made.
SCOPE OF EVALUTATION:-

• Value Judgement
• Effective of Appraisal
• Provide baseline for guidance and counselling
• Placement and promotions in jobs
• Development of attitude, interest and capability
• Creativity, Originality, Knowledge and skill etc
• Development of tools and techniques
• Development of curriculum for its revision
• Helpful for curriculum planning and administers to
improve the curriculum pattern

SCOPE OF EVALUTATION:-
• Facilitate learning
• Diagnose problems
• Make decisions
• Improve Products
• Judge effectiveness

USE IN EDUCATION:-
• Teachers can prepare presentations on a computer and
display them on a LCD projector .
• This can be very useful for creating lesson plans that can
be used year after year.
• It provides a large clear image that students can see
from anywhere in the room.

• Also known as program evaluation, evaluation research
is a common research design that entails carrying out a
structured assessment of the value of resources
committed to a project or specific goal. It often adopts
social research methods to gather and analyse useful
information about organizational processes and
products.
