This project aims to analyze child abuse policies in Pakistan by reviewing Pakistan's existing child protection policies and comparing them to policies in developed countries. The project will use a qualitative case study approach to evaluate how well Pakistan's policies implement children's rights and protect children from different forms of abuse at individual, domestic, institutional, and societal levels. NGOs working in Pakistan and existing research on poor policy implementation will also be examined. The goal is to identify gaps in Pakistan's approach and make recommendations to strengthen policies addressing this widespread social issue.

3. Project Title: Child abuse in Pakistan – By policy percpective

4. Brief Project Summary: Child abuse happens in various forms for example physical abuse,

sexual abuse, emotional abuse and psychological abuse. Child abuse is basically an international

problem and is above all nations and socio-economic divisions with the effects that are deep and

life changing for the sufferers. There exists a considerable literature from developed countries

about signs of child abuse, but a shortage of facts and figures from underdeveloped countries like

Pakistan. In Pakistan, Child abuse of different types happen at several levels i.e. individual level,

domestic level, institutional level, and societal level. However, there are numerous policies in

Pakistan in order to protect children from abuse. NGOs that are working to eradicate the issue

and spread awareness. As per existing research and literature, poor policies and weak structures

of instates who are handling this issue.

This research is related to the child abuse happening in Pakistan, where the project has a mission

of reviewing Pakistan’s policies for protecting children from any kind of abuse and

implementing child rights in Pakistan. Objective of this project includes a relative study of child

protection policies of the developed countries and local policies of Pakistan for the purpose of

child protection concerning child abuse. This project will make the usage of qualitative research

designs wherein case study methods will be used to attain the research question.
