Lorenz-Mie Scattering of Non-Planar Wavefront by a Sphere
We consider in this paper scattering/refraction of a non-planar wavefront (npw)by a sphere. The motivation to consider npw
excitation emerges from an old idea that is pertinent to adaptive, remote-sensing radar: tailor the illuminating waveform to
obtain maximum information about the object of interest. It is well-known that a rough surface can be constructed by adding
sinusoidal corrugations of any orientation, amplitude (i.e., height), and period. Likewise, we may build an npw by summation of
sinusoidal wavefronts, which may have any orientation, amplitude, and period.
A sinusoidal wavefront is the sum of two, equal-amplitude, plane, electromagnetic waves -- at the same frequency and of the
same polarization -- that are propagated in two directions k1 and k2, and . The constituent plane waves may be either in phase or
out of phase and they may assume either of two orthogonal polarizations. We refer to the sinusoidal wavefront as pow – for pair-
of-waves. The pow wavefront is propagated in the direction k =½ (k1+ k2) and manifests periodicity in the direction Δk = k1+- k2
An npwcan be considered as a pow continuum and it is represented by four type-dependent pow spectra. We present a theory for
the determination of the powspectra and apply that theory to determine thewave amplitudes of npw scattering/refraction by a
sphere. We use two frames, a reference frame which is convenient to the excitation and a local frame which is attached to the
center of the sphere. The sphere is displaced from the phase-reference point, which is the origin of the reference
frame.Evidently, the position of the sphere with respect to the incident npw is relevant and we manifest this by application of our
theory to two radiation problems: (a) pow scattering by an offset sphere and (b) Gaussian-beam scattering by an off-axis sphere.
The basic conclusion drawn from the solution of radiation problem (a) is that, even though the scatterer is excited by k1 and k2, it
is actually coupled toΔk. With regard to radiation problem (b),the main result is the method used to find the pow spectra that
are inherent in an npw. The pow method is a variation of the angular (or spatial) correlation method of remote sensing: instead
of illuminating the target of interest from a single direction and then correlating the waves scattered in two directions, we
consider in the case of pow excitation two directions of incidence, say and k2, on the target and we correlate (trivially) the
scattered waves in the direction –k, thus extracting information about the structure of that object in the direction of Δk, which is
transverse to k .
Numerical calculations are presented for a mμ-sized, spherical, glycerol droplet which is coupled to a pow or an npw, both at an
infrared wavelength. Field maps on the mean plane of the incident wavefront manifest how the droplet is coupled to the incident
pow or npw. Finally, we show how to size-tune the incident pow to the droplet in order to enhance backscattering. Comparison to
numerical results obtained by a FEM software validates the theory and evaluates the performance of the Fortran code which
implements the theory.

Text analysis, data quality and machine learning
In this paper we present a brief review of our research concerningdata quality, text analysis, and machine learning. The increase
in data volume in organizations, combined with the steady evolution of information systems, raise significant concerns about the
quality of linguistic resources (data). In the era of machine learning, non-quality linguistic resources (data) can have major
consequences. However, if we agree on the need to control the quality of the data, heavy investments and significant amount of
time are needed for the tools to be trained. Once trained, models and patterns can be used to collect automatically unstructured
data and assign labels – metadata– to them and, ultimately, classify them. This is not a simple process. It can be expensive and
time-consuming, but nowadays such transformation has become feasible.
One of our goals is the identification and automatic – or semi-automatic – annotation of information in order to apply the most
appropriate information-extraction methods. Then, the main objective is the combination and the interoperability between
symbolic and statistical NLP (natural language processing) methods (symbolic rules, machine learning, and data mining).
The majority of our tools use algorithms on finite-state automata or finite-state transducers and are grouped in the open-source
platform Unitex/GramLab. This industrial platform is used by a large number of universities, research centers and enterprises
(more than 200) in order to process texts in about twenty languages. By providing this tool of integrated resources (corpus,
lexicons, grammars) we contribute to the quality of the international infrastructure development and research.
Unlike the world's leading language-processing industry, which uses almost exclusively statistical techniques, we are extensively
developing linguistic resources in a constant effort to improve performance. But some sequences of high productivity words
cannot be “listed” and therefore cannot be represented in dictionaries exhaustively. This is particularly the case for named
entities, which initiated numerous scientific studies over the past twenty years (Friburger 2002, Hermann 2008). Data
preparation is not an easy procedure because of the linguistic ambiguity, also called noise. Data preparation requires a great
amount of time and advanced language skills. The complexity of these sequences lies primarily in their “combinatorial
explosion”. Besides, in many cases there is the problem of sequence delimitation.Taking, for example, dates in the form: day-
month-year; these three components can take many values and can be written in numbers or letters with various separators
(space, dash, slash). In addition, some components are erasable, e.g., forms preceded by “in” or “on”, on month year, on month,
in year.In terms of technological evolution, dictionary graphs now allow us to describe complex semantic units as named entities,
such as proper nouns, addresses, organizations, or compound tenses of verbs which cannot be represented in dictionary lists.

Abstract—Over the twenty years instead of magnetic stimulation, electrical stimulation is preferred and has widely been used as
an investigation tool to find any disorder of human cardiovascular system and also been used in treatment purpose as the side
effects are very low in case of electrical stimulation. Howland current source (HCS) is one of the most popular electronics device
among the countless device have been designed to provide electrical stimulation because of its stability and simplicity. In control
system application used in industries, the plant is modeled as a second-order or higher order system with time delay and the
controller is either of the P, PI or the PID type. Here the plant is Howland current source with a delay as most of the plants are
of accumulated with dead time. The main focus of this work is to reduce the order of system (HCS) using some linear control
theory and thereby improve the response characteristics of it. After that, tuning of controller is done by applying Z-N rule
instead of other well-known controllers asit is having a good control behavior compared to other PID controller. Smith Predictor
design has also been depicted and simulation result ensures the better response characteristics for the proposed design.

Abstract— with plethora of technical developments till 21st Century, human life has become so advanced that we can
comfortably say that the Future is now. However, everything has been done at the cost of bringing the world to face critical
challenges. Accumulative carbon emission is one of the most alarming one. Fortunately, the smart use of technology may assist
mankind to deal with such issues. Internet of Things (IOT) is a podium which links people with anything/ anyone/ any service to
make their lives at ease. On the way of doing that, it has an immense scope for plummeting Energy depletion. Energy
exploitation can be optimized by enactment of apposite preservation and monitoring in diverse arenas like but not limited to
utilities, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, retail and consumer products, agriculture and food production,
construction, and healthcare. At this point of time, it is vastly challenging to envisage the infrastructural expenditures related to
IOT due to its infancy stage, but this cloud centered technology has mammoth prospective to fetch a universal mutiny. Here the
researchers will try to build an idea of a prototype for smart and adaptive energy optimization system which will reduce energy
consumption without compromising user comfort level.

Abstract: Rapid development of network generates many advantages, but unfortunately the easy access of this availabilitycreates
a major threat to cyber world due to hacking. So, any data sent over network, if not properly encrypted prior to sending, is
prone to be hacked. Again, while considering medical images, it should be noted that they contain detail information of a
particular body area. Generally, it consumes a large space for this. Therefore, compression of images is also an important
application in the field of medical image processing as it is suitable for optimization of storage space and sharing over net work.
In our present communication, we are going to propose a new method for encryption of optically compressed medical image
using phase matrix. A medical image is first modulated with high frequency sinusoidal grating in a fixed orientation and then
encrypted using phase matrix. After filtering from decrypted plane, medical image is filtered out from its spectrum using
Inverse Fourier Transform. However, to a get a reasonably good output, information loss should be minimized during
compression. To measure quality of the output image, PSNR value has been calculated.

Abstract— As technology is growing day by day security has got the utmost concern. So in order to provide security to the
information the only way is keeping hackers unknown about the presence of important information in the document. The
techniques used are named as cryptography, steganography, watermarking etc. This project approaches towards securing
information exchange over the internet using image processing. In this project the technique of cryptography and steganography
with Wavelet Transform is used in order to secure information exchange. So to achieve this basically a text file containing the
information that is to be exchanged is hide inside an image without distorting the quality of the image. The image is divided into
four channels using DWT, containing both the image with and without noise. Then the message is carefully hid into those
channels of image that contains noise. Then again the image is reconstructed by applying inverse DWT. This manipulated image
is known as the stego image. Now when this stego image is received by the receiver then he again applies discrete wavelet
transform to divide the stego image into four different channels. Now the text file containing the information will carefully be
extracted by the receiver. Hence the receiver gets the correct information sent by the sender without letting others know about
the information. As the image is least distorted which is non-observable through naked eyes, unintended people can never find
out anything about the information that is hidden in the image. Hence the intended receiver receives the accurate information
which is not manipulated by any person in between.

Abstract—In this paper a mathematical model of human cardiovascular fiber dynamics has been developed using hydro electro
mechanical concept. Basically for modeling purpose linear control system based approach is used here to develop this model.
The model is comprised of so many parameters, for example viscosity, mass and young’s modulus of elasticity, resistance,
capacitance, pressure etc. This paper simulates the human cardiovascular fiber based on mainly three functions: electrical,
hydraulic, and mechanical parameters. The proposed mathematical model has been simulated in MATLAB software after
finding the overall transfer function. In the literature, there are some steps are taken to develop the above proposed model. At
first Hydro-mechanical model is developed then it has been transformed into electrical domain and simulation has been done
according to the developed electrical model or formulations obtained using Laplace transform. As ECG signal are generated by
the depolarization and repolarization of cardiac fiber, the results found by simulations are comparable with the ECG signal.
This research work especially concentrates on modeling human cardiovascular fiber as a hydro-electro-mechanical system with
three different case studies.

Abstract - In modern society, the consumption of fruits and vegetables has become the norm. A variety of fresh fruits and
vegetables should be accessible at all times. However, the changing climate prevents the growth of certain fruits and vegetables,
especially in Kolkata and different parts of West Bengal. This results in import from southern part of country, which in turn has
some drawbacks. The main objective of this project was therefore to make it easier to grow food easily at home. This can be
achieved with the use of an automated greenhouse. A greenhouse makes it possible to replicate a different climate and
consequently grow food that would not typically grow in the area. Additionally, making the greenhouse automated enables
people to grow their own food or plants at home without having to constantly look after them. The implementation is done with
the help of micro-controller (Arduino) along with various sensors (Humidity, Moisture, Light) that will be having a constant
look after the plant thus providing a better yield.

Abstract—We investigate the impact of device scaling on thermal noise performance of InAsxSb1-x - channel nMOSFETs
having various channel lengths, channel thicknesses and insulating layer thicknesses for a wide range of frequency and gate
voltage. The models used in the simulation are standardized by comparing simulated transfer characteristic curve with reported
experimental characteristic. The numerically obtained values of drain current ID and transconductance gM are used to obtain
power spectral density of drain current SID/ID2, noise resistance Rn and minimum noise figure NFmin. Our investigation
exposes that thermal noise can be suppressed by downsizing of channel length and channel thickness for a InAsxSb1-x n-channel
MOSFETs.

Abstract — In this paper, Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) is used to detect cracks or deformation in civil structures like
bridges. The electromagnetic characteristics of FSS depends on the geometry of the constituting elements. When the geometry
changes due to crack or any kind of deformation in the structure, the electromagnetic characteristic of the FSS on the civil
structure changes and this change, may be used to detect cracks in the civil structures. This method of testing is easier and
cheaper than currently available structural health monitoring techniques of civil structures. In this paper, FSS with patches
have been designed and their response for various incident angles are observed. The FSS is simulated using ANSOFT® Designer
software. The simulated results shows that, as incident angle varies, transmitted electric field and resonant frequency varies.
This variation shows the possibility of cracks in civil structures like bridges.

Abstract— An efficient and accurate semi-vectorial polarized mode solver has been developed to study rib-structured wave
guides based on Higher Order Compact (HOC) Finite Difference Method (FDM) for uniform grid points along with Successive
Over Relaxation (SOR) technique. For simulating the performances of diverse photonic integrated circuits in propagating
electro-magnetic waves, presented optical wave guide modeling scheme is analyzed by introducing the concept of modal index
and modal birefringence in the refractive index profiles of the used GaAs and GeSi structures. Contour plots show
corresponding field distributions of guided modes. Full account of vertical and horizontal discontinuities of the refractive index
profiles in cell interfaces within the wave guide geometry is taken here and numerical results verify the behavior of these
structures for stability and convergence Excellent agreements are obtained with other published works in computed results of
normalized indices and modal indices. Most importantly, wave guide structure parameter optimization is done here successfully
by varying them with the corresponding optical indices. This may play a very crucial role in future fabrication industry.
Moreover, study of Modal Birefringence and computation of Optical Confinement Factor for propagating electromagnetic
waves provide some important additional insights so far as material dependence for efficient wave propagation is concerned.

Abstract — The paper describes a decimal squaring technique of some particular numbers which are of the form 10l ±m, where
l and m are positive integers and the architecture has been implemented using memristor which is new device technology. The
technique is faster than the earlier reported techniques. The number, whose square is to be performed, must be nearer to a
particular radix or base 10l and ‘m’ is the difference of the number from the radix. If A=(10l ±m) is the operand then, A2 =(10l
±m)2 =10l (A±m)+m2 . Clearly the technique requires squaring of a very small number that is ‘m’ and thus the computational
complexity is reduced drastically. The only limitation of the technique is the range of the operand but for large operand the
technique can be of good use. The technique has a tremendous application for mental mathematics for human being. Moreover
memristor has been used to make the design faster due to its dynamic change of resistivity. Since the memristor based
implementation is new to the best of the knowledge of the authors then it is beyond the scope of comparison with the other
similar works.

Abstract— Concrete is a versatile construction material characterized by superior compressive strength, durability, resistance
against corrosion with minimum maintenance cost. As one of the key component in modern architecture, concrete is fairly weak
in tension. To compensate for this disadvantage, fibers are generally used as a reinforcement mechanism and strengthening the
concrete. The use of steel fiber in concrete is an effective technique to enhance the tensile properties of concrete and resi stance
against cracks. The investigation has been made with hooked end and round crimped steel fiber extracted from locally available
steel wire with an aspect ratio of 0.50 to study the compressive and flexural strength of steel fiber reinforced concrete. Packing
density method is used to design the mix proportioning of ordinary Portland cement concrete with water-cement ratio 0.45 and
paste content 30%. Effects of steel fiber on mechanical properties of concrete were investigated for steel fiber content varying
from 0% to 5% by weight of cement at an interval of 1% after 7, 28 and 90 days. For the implementation of steel fiber, the
compressive strength of concrete is increased almost linearly with steel fiber content and strengthen the concrete up to 25%
compared to plain concrete. The flexural strength of the concrete also ascended with fiber volume percentage and the strength is
significantly improved by 150% compared to normal concrete for the higher content of steel fiber. The effect of steel fiber
exhibit greater compressive and flexural strength of concrete with higher fiber content, resistance against cracking and support
the load even after failure occurs. The steel fiber reinforced concrete impart greater engineering performance and toughness
over conventional concrete.

Abstract—Concrete, the well-known and most popular construction material, is acquainted for its compressive strength
alongside with other mechanical properties. Ordinary concrete is a composite of aggregate and cement paste that fills the gaps
between aggregates and binds them together. The non-homogeneous and anisotropic cement matrix is composed of irregularly
shaped and unevenly distributed pores within the concrete and this pore structure greatly influences the strength development
and permeability of concrete. A significant change in the performance of concrete can be achieved using mineral admixture as
cement replacement material by producing more discontinuous and impermeable pore structure. This study is enriched with the
strength development of cement-silica fume blend and the significant effect on the compressive strength of concrete. For the
preparation of the concrete, the ordinary Portland cement was replaced with silica fume at different volume percentages varying
from 0% to 25% at 5% increment. The concrete mix proportionating has been fixed by the packing density method as the
water-cement ratio and the paste content were fixed at 0.40 and 20% respectively. The concrete was tested for the compressive
strength at 7, 28 and 90 days. The result shows that the incorporation of silica fume has a significant effect on the strength of
concrete as the compressive strength is increased up to 55% for 20% replacement of cement with silica fume, and for further
replacement of cement the strength decreased. The isolated effect of silica fume as cement replacement material exhibits
consistently higher compressive strength compared to plain concrete and strengthen the concrete up to certain percentage
content of silica fume. This research paper is a trail to endeavor the relationship of optimum silica fume replacement with the
binder to improve certain mechanical properties of concrete.

Abstract—The huge demand in broad wireless networks and increase in mobile users day by day, we need a scalable network
that can control the mobile networks with the wide area telephone service. So RNC (Radio Network Controller) is a scalable
UMTS radio networking system which is responsible for controlling node data rates which are connected with it. Here we have
used QualNet to simulate the network. It is a network simulating software where we can analyze the performance of any
complex network. We have analyzed the principle of RNC networking because it is very helpful for some mobility management
where encryption is done when data is sent to and from mobile to mobile by the users and also for radio networking system. It is
very much helpful for sending data from mobile to mobile in rural as well as in urban areas. In this paper we analyze our
scenario with CBR application (this logical connections are called interfaces) connected with RNC from different viewpoints, i.e;
total bytes sent by the nodes, throughput, average end to end delay, avg.jitter and also how much data packets received by the
corresponding nodes. We consider mobile phones as node and connect them with RNC as well as CBR which transfer data
constantly from one node to another node. The high performance quality of QualNet software help users for observing such
wireless network systems accurately.

Abstract— The Postal Automation is a topic of intense research over a decade. Normally it bears a pin code ( it may not have a
pin code or the pin code may not filled in) for correct referencing of the destination address. In the later case i.e. in case of lack
of information from the pin code, we need to fully rely on the city name as well as the street name of the destination address to
ensure proper delivery of the same, failing which will lead to delay or event non delivery of the document in its desired loc ation.
The postal system is fully automated in some developed countries like USA, China etc. but it still needs proper attention from
any researcher when we talk of a multi-lingual and multi-script country like India
From our study, it can be concluded that as on date most of the research works on city name recognition have been carried out
for Indian city names written in English, Bangla, Devnagari, Tamil and Gurumukhi languages out of the twenty three official
languages of India. Similarly from the study on hand written street name recognition it is found that only one work exists on the

Abstract— Harvesting waste heat back into electricity exploiting temperature differences across two ends of a nanodevice and
its concomitant dependence on the spin of the electron has led to the emergence of a new field known as spin caloritronics.
Herein we report spin polarized thermoelectric feature in pi stacked system (Cn-C6H6-Fe-C6H6-C13-n)n=2. Decisive factors
such as Seebeck Cofficient of the system becomes fully spin dependent against temperature variation and its switching from
positive to negative values illustrates switching of thermoelectric behaviour from p to n type due to change in spin state from
spin down to up. Relatively large thermoelectric figure of merit has been reported in case of spin figure of merit of the system.
Observed results have been explained through the analysis of temperature dependent transmission spectra.

Abstract—Transport sector banks mainly depend on diesel engines, and combustion of diesel generates plenty of toxic
pollutants. In this study, a numerical simulation is being carried out by the authors to investigate the performance and emission
characteristics of an unmodified single cylinder, naturally aspirated, water cooled, direct injection, four stroke diesel engine
fuelled with diesel and water emulsified diesel. The simulation has been conducted at a constant engine speed of 1500 rpm and
static injection timing of 23°bTDC at different brake power of the engine using Diesel-RK software. The water percentage in
WED is been considered up to 10%. It is observed that the brake thermal efficiency increases, when WED is used instead of pure
diesel. Brake specific fuel consumption as well as the exhaust gas temperature increases with the incorporation of WED when
compared to neat diesel. A significant reduction of NOx, CO2 and smoke emission are observed with water emulsified diesel,
while the particulate matter (PM) emission increases with the water emulsified diesel compared to neat petroleum diesel .

Abstract— Human breath is a valuable information-rich, noninvasive biosample that contains disease specific biomarkers for
diagnostic and prognostic assessment of a disease. The current breath analyzers suffer from several constraints, including high
cost, complexity and unavailability in clinical settings. The present work develops and characterizes an inexpensive, fast and
accurate Nitrate sensing system to monitor and diagnose the status of Asthma using exhaled breath condensate (EBC). The
elevated concentrations of nitrate in exhaled breath condensate (EBC) reflect an increased nitric oxide (NO) metabolism. In this
work, the exhaled breath was collected in a plastic tube, placed in an ice-bath to produce a condensate that contains Nitrate as
one of the constituents in the EBC. When a drop of Prussian blue was added to a notable amount of exhaled breath condensate
(EBC), a distinct color change (yellowish) was observed. A designed and fabricated system using an optical transceiver responds
instantly to the nitrate concentration in the EBC. The intensity of the formed color had a linear dependency on the concentration
of the nitrate. The performance indices like sensitivity (3.56 mV per ppm of nitrate concentration in EBC), repeatability,
response time (~10 seconds), etc. of the portable device were assessed. The limit of detection was found 1 ppm. The clinical
performance of the device was compared with the standard nitrate tests using blood samples recruiting 16 volunteers. The
statistical analysis of the data pairs using Bland Altman plot showed a significant correlation (r 2=0.96) and agreement within
±5% confidence interval.

Abstract— Improvement in the living style causes most of the people, may it be young or older, to suffer from a number of
health abnormalities that goes un-noticed in the early stage as most of us are not concerned about our healthiness. It is also very
common scenario that many people miss the best time for treatment and experience some complications and it becomes too late
to get rid of these ailments. The best way to avoid different complications is to be able to detect the malfunctioning in the
physiological systems at an early or preliminary stage. Healthy lifestyles, proper diet, physical exercises and proper sleep along-
with early medical assessment helps in proper treatment thus increasing the life span of the individual. Generally, the cardiac
synchronous change is reflected in the physiological signals acquired by surface electrodes or optical systems etc. as the cardio-
vascular system is basically a closed circuit network. The technique used for measuring blood volume variations, movement of
blood in blood vessel is known as plethysmography. In this work, we have developed and used a simple optical technique &
arduino based platform to acquire the plethysmography signals from different subjects of different age groups so as to analyze
some of the changes in cardiac synchronicity as a possibility of early medical assessment for blood volumes changes, presence of
intermittent occlusions, hypertension, tendency of hyperglycaemia etc. This method is simple, and cost-effective, non-invasive
and reliable.

Abstract -- The manufacturing defects of three dimensional integrated circuit (3D IC) based on through silicon via (TSV) is one
of the major problem in semiconductor industry. Fault tolerant 3D IC based on TSV is an emerging area of semiconductor
industry. As 3D IC is gaining significant importance because of shrinking size, increasing integration density and
interconnection delay of modern devices, so it is necessary to repair TSVs faults occurs during various manufacturing processes.
Use of redundant TSV to repair faulty functional TSV is an effective method for reliability enhancement. Most of the existing
solutions cannot guarantee to repair clustered defects when TSVs are distributed non-uniformly all over the chip. Our main aim
is to repair as much as possible consecutive TSVs faults. In this paper we have proposed a method to make interconnection
between functional TSVs and direct connection between functional and redundant TSVs using multiplexors (MUXs) in such way
that required number of MUXs will minimum, dependency will be maximum and also can repair consecutive faults.

Abstract—Today organizations face a challenge while recruiting candidates, who provide forged mark sheets in order to get a
job. To prevent wrong hiring a detailed and thorough approach is needed to verify the authentication of both the candidate and
the marks obtained by him/her. There are so many modern cryptographic protocols available which can be used for
authenticating individual’s academic achievement certificates. Visual Cryptography is a simple and secure way to allow the
secret sharing of images without any cryptographic computations or the use of encryption or decryption keys. The novelty of the
visual secret sharing scheme is in its decryption process where human visual system (HVS) is employed for decryption of secre t
shares. In this paper we have discussed (3, 3) visual cryptography scheme which can be used to generate shares and distributes
them among three parties, i.e. the Job Seeker, Certificate Issuance Authority and the Organization conducting Job interview.
Secret message can be decrypted only if all the three shares are available. Every certificate carries a unique number which is
encrypted using visual cryptography and without handshaking of all the parties it is impossible to decrypt, thus ensuring full
proof authentication.

Abstract— Efficient Energy Measurement of electric power now-a-days carries great importance in the domain of Electrical
Energy Metering. Along with the introduction of SMART Grids over the conventional Power grid systems, the energy efficient
metering with the sense of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) is also a prior concern that needs the implementation of lots
of sensors and software for control. A smart energy meter is a digital electric meter that deals with the measurement of
electricity with high accuracy making it more desired system than the traditional energy meter. With the above features the
Energy Metering also has other features like it is completely automated, cost effective and time compliance. In this paper,
different conventional electrical power measurement technique has been compared with different Advanced Metering
Techniques considering the need for SMART Meters, their functionalities and challenges of implementation and more over their
benefits in the domain of power and energy measurement. Some case studies and their analysis regarding their feasibilities have
also been reviewed.

The two dimensional continuity, momentum and energy equations are solved by using finite volume base upwind scheme for
different Reynolds Numbers and for a fixed aspect ratio. Computations have been done with respect to wall static pressure, wall
shear stress, wall temperature distribution and stream line contours. In case of nozzle wall shear stress, wall static pressure and
stream line contours have a greater importance in nozzle. The numerical result has been shown in details in result and
discussion sections by using ANSYS FLUENT 13.0.

Abstract— Smart Grid has a great contribution to meet peak electricity demand connected with Renewable Energy Sources
(RES). Photovoltaic (PV) systems play a significant role to overcome the challenges of fuel reserves which can be met up with
plenty of solar irradiance. This paper proposes a neural network based MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) algorithm for
a 100 kW PV System. The Duty Cycle of the DC-DC Boost converter is controlled by the proposed neural network MPPT
control Technique and hence maximum power is obtained from PV system. Hill Climbing based MPPT algorithm has also been
implemented to extract maximum power. MATLAB / Simulink have been used to model the proposed grid interfaced
photovoltaic system. The VSC controlled method along with three level bridge inverter has been used to convert the DC voltage
to AC. The proper choice of RC bank subsequently reduces the harmonic effects to synchronize the output with the grid voltage.
This model has been tested with different temperature and irradiation and resultant I-V and P-V characteristics have been
proved the novelty of proposed MPPT technique. Result of harmonic analysis shows the novelty of the proposed model

Abstract— Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) can be very helpful in serving as an alarm system for preventing any life risk
as well as huge infrastructural losses. The SHM system is designed to monitor the [1-6]condition of bridge in real time by
analyzing the data available from sensor. The application of SHM has greatly increased in recent years as it enhances lifetime of
the bridges, and saves the human life due to the sudden accidental cases. These factors, combined with defects of design and
construction and accidental damage, prompt the deterioration of bridges and result in the loss of load carrying capacity of
bridges. The condition of heavily used urban bridges is even worse. One in three is classified as aging or unable to accommodate
modern vehicle weights and traffic volume. The solution is to develop a SHM system that monitors the condition of bridge in real
time by analyzing the data available from sensors. The quantitative data on the structural behavior like vibration, temperature
and stress levels are collected from sensors and monitored automatically to evaluate the real condition of the bridge. An app,
which indicates the temperature, stress levels and predicted condition of the bridge, is also designed to monitor general factors
remotely and to access publicly. The monitoring system is used to increase the safety of the structure and provide early warning
of a vibration of the known degradations and the application of SHM to existing bridges will help to perform a controlled life
time extension (CLTE) of the bridges.

Abstract— In this paper authors have proposed a new fixed relay setting scheme for relay coordination to relief the
conventional adaptive protection scheme for a time being in presence of renewable energy based distributed generation.
Directional over current relays (DORs) are one of the main protection devices in interconnected systems. Optimization of DOR
settings namely time dial setting (TDS) and pickup current (Ip) setting is done by a recently proposed efficient optimizer
symbiotic organism search (SOS) technique. Computational ability of the scheme is validated in IEEE 14-bus distribution
system including renewable energy based distributed generation (DG) penetration. Results show that the new fixed relay setting
scheme is able to protect the system with the same set of relay settings, whether the DG penetration is ON or OFF for a certa in
period. SOS provides notable reduction in relays' operating time, maintaining reliable coordination margin for each
primary/backup relay pair, in comparison with another well-known technique, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO).

Abstract— With increase in world population estimation by more than 30% within 2050, non-uniform deficiencies will become
severe in all basic needs of civilization including energy. More specifically, the operation of new and more power-consuming
devices including electric vehicles demand a massive increase in required electrical energy resulting in degradation of the
environment. So reduction in fossil fuel usage is inevitable whereas ultimate realizable capacities of wind power and solar
radiation, the common renewable sources is questionable in needs of large scale industries. Then nuclear power can be a viable
option to resolve these energy issues. Accordingly, use of green engineering by innovating the design and technologies of
conventional critical nuclear reactors based on Uranium fission with possible large-scale carbon-free output are reported here
considering India’s progress. In fission, majority of energy is found to release instantaneously but the rest comes out from the
products over the years depending upon their half-lives which makes nuclear waste a hazard, though declining. India has nearly
achieved self-reliance in management of produced radioactive wastes using its unique three-stage Th-based approach. Also with
abundant Thorium reserves, it has designed new-generation Accelerator Driven System subcritical reactor for converting the
wastes into either stable elements or those whose radioactivity is short-lived, while producing useful green energy. More
importantly, India is now collaborating to build the world's largest tokamak, a magnetic fusion device, supposed to use no fissile
materials and produce only pollution-free heat to generate very large-scale decarbonised energy in a fusion power plant based
on the principle that powers the Sun and the stars.

Abstract— A Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) is developed to enhance the comfort of automotive users by providing the
driver safety, traffic updates, entertainment, data sharing etc. The congestion control approach in vehicular ad-hoc network
meets various kinds of challenges like frequent change in the topology, dynamic nodes density, nature of broadcast
communication etc. The main objective of this proposed method is to control the congestion in VANET so that all necessary
information can reach to the intended destination on time. The proposed scheme controls the congestion by reducing the number
of messages by discarding the duplicate beacon messages and by sharing the bandwidth for safety messages. It support the
transmission of beacon message to broadcast the current status of a vehicle in triggered manner rather than periodic, means the
node can send the messages when there is any update in current location, direction, speed etc. In this system each node, having
neighbor table can extract the information of each field and compare the field value with the previously stored data in queue of a
message to make sure about the originality of messages. The proposed system support the transmission of safely messages in
priority basis through the control channel (CCH) whenever the service channel (SSH) will be overloaded. The performance of
the proposed scheme is evaluated on the basis of average delay, storage overhead per vehicle.

Abstract— The Galvanic Skin Response (GSR), which is a electro dermal activity or EDA, refers to changes in sweat gland
activity that reflects the intensity of human emotional state. Sweating is controlled by the sympathetic nervous system. The
greater the presence of water and salt on the skin, the more conductive of electricity the skin is. So skin resistance varies with the
state of sweat glands in the skin. In this way, skin conductance can be a measure of emotional and sympathetic responses.
Galvanic skin resistance meter is based on the detection of a change in electrical resistance of the skin. It is determined by
passing a weak current through the skin and measuring changes in electricity flow. Through this paper the design of the
electronic circuit of a GSR meter has been proposed, implemented and described elaborately.

Abstract— Blood flow is the uninterrupted flow of blood in the cardiovascular system of any living being. This flow system
ensures the transportation of nutrients, hormones, metabolic wastes, O2 and CO2 throughout the body to keep up cell-grade
metabolism, the proper regulation of the pH, osmotic pressure and temperature of the whole body, and the defence from
microbial and mechanical evils. So proper Blood circulation is one of the essential physiological parameter and most complicated
to measure accurately. A radiation sensor is unfavourable to human blood cell as well as blood vessels. In this ground-breaking
experiment there is a metallic micro electrode which is placed in the interior to the blood vessel in contact with the blood flow
directly .This will be continuously heated with constant current thus will dissipate fixed amount of heat in normal blood flow
condition. When there is any alteration happened in the flow rate that is sensed though the alteration in heat dissipation from
the surface of the heated electrode. The alteration in the heat dissipation is detected by the suitable DC bridge arrangement. The
change in the output voltage is processed through suitable signal processing unit comprising instrumentation amplifier circuit
and other adjacent circuit. The suitable intelligent electronic recorders and display unit is used for the blood flow measurement
and display purpose. The composite arrangement with isolation unit is incorporated to isolate the human body from the
measuring instrument such that this instrument can be applied in hazardous area also. It is very small bio-electronic instrument
as well as it is low cost and very simple to use.

Abstract—Travel narratives have evolved over time in literature and have shaped up a new domain of transcultural identity.
From the fairy tale and adventure of Gulliver’s Travels the modern text has offered us a whole new dimension, giving us eyes to
geopolitical setup, historical profile, human society and culture. The topos of journey from the historical explorations to modern
packaged tours has used land, water and sea travel. Amitav Ghosh has captured and presented his characters in a time trapped
history both mainstream and alternative in Ibis Trilogy. He has not only narrated the mythical past but has unfolded serious
issues like migration and displacement. His characters are always on the move from their homeland to a foreign or alien land.
The ‘push’ and ‘pull’ or the ‘voluntary’ and ‘involuntary’ migration allows the characters to travel to an unknown destiny. Sea
of Poppies and River of Smoke bring us alive the Asian seafaring world influenced by the heavy dose of the Opium economy.
With this trade and economy dependant on travel from Bihar to Calcutta and Mauritius to Canton, Ghosh unravels torment,
fatality and human wreckage brought in by the colonizing corporation. Through the tales of travelling housewives, zamindars,
boatmen, a mullato American, traders, laskars, botanists and ‘girmitiyas’, Ghosh’s reflection on diaspora gives us eyes to the
travel syndrome and instead the life of the jahaj-bhais and jahaj-behens navigating the Black Waters and beyond. In this paper I
would like to trace the travel history of Ghosh’s indentured labourers on the slaving schooner who are constantly fighting with
their traditional social and cultural identity which moves toward oblivion and acculturation.

Abstract—In this paper transient coupling between the traces in a double layer PCB is analyzed for excitation of different signal
waveforms involved in the digital circuits. Four different types of signals such as, trapezoidal, step, impulse and clock are
considered for excitation at the source end of a trace in a two layer board having three traces on the top of the dielectric
substrate. All the traces are matched terminated with 50 ohm loads. The waveforms are represented by mathematical formulae
and the transient crosstalk is computed using transmission line theory. Initially the transient crosstalk is calculated on the
adjacent victim traces for excitation in a single trace. Subsequently, trapezoidal and periodic clock signals are applied
simultaneously to the two side traces and the effect of transient coupling is observed on the middle trace. The variation of
coupling is also observed for different PCB geometrical layouts: a) different spacing between the traces, b) different dielectric
substrate height, c) different dielectric constants, and d) different terminating loads. The results are shown and compared
graphically. It is observed that the transient coupling increases with decrease of rise time of the pulses.

Abstract—In recent time solar PVs are emerging as one of the better alternatives for power generation. The generated power
from solar PVs are subjected to variation of weather conditions such as temperature and irradiation. This variable weather
conditions create power fluctuation at the output of solar energy conversion system. This intermittent power has several adverse
effects on the grid such as voltage fluctuation. Therefore the use of bidirectional converter based battery storage unit is an
effective way to reduce the power fluctuation. In this scenario, the storage of the surplus electrical energy is essential
requirement and this stored energy can be utilized during the deficit of electrical power to reduce the intermittent nature of
output power. So the storage of excess generated electrical energy is done during charging mode. On the other hand, the stored
energy is returned back to the connected grid for meeting up peak load demand under discharging mode. Due to the charging
and discharging processes of concerned battery unit, a bidirectional converter is very much essential component of this entire
system. So proper control logic for battery energy storage system is used to facilitate dynamic charging and discharging
operation in our work. The whole concept has been validated via simulation study in MATLAB software and satisfactory results
have been obtained.

Abstract- A model has been proposed of a Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor (MOSFET) which consists of a
Silicon substrate, topped with a double-layered gate oxide material. The MOSFET structure has been considered such that there
is a pure layer of Silicon dioxide on the Silicon substrate and the top layer of the gate is a composite layer of Gold nanoparticles
embedded in Silicon dioxide. In this paper, it has been aimed to study the two types of tunneling currents through the gate of the
MOSFET. The overall tunneling current is a combination of direct tunneling current and F-N tunneling current. The high field
(Fowler-Nordheim) tunneling current and the low field (Direct) gate current have been studied at the interfacial surface of a
two-layered gate dielectric. The work also presents the study of the Source- to- drain channel current under the influence of the
gold-embedded gate oxide layer. Both the tunneling currents are found to be of enhanced in magnitude in this prposed gold
nanoparticle embedded dielectric as compared to a composite layer where silicon nano crystals are embedded in a layer of silica.
This current nature suggests that the memory retention capability of the MOSFET with gold-embedded gate oxide is better than
silicon-embedded gate oxide layer.

features: - recording the no. of times a horn is pressed by the driver & this should be further linked with driving capability
which in turn should be be used to calculate insurance premium / permit charges for taxi, etc.An attempt has been made to
develop a low-cost Smart honking system for which enables the users to calculate the number of horns at a certain period. In
addition to this a technological solution has been made to generate an alarm system to the user if the no. of horns goes above the
limit. Once the user has registered to this system will receive a bill taxed on the honking made in monthly basis. If the counting
of horn exceeds the pre-set limit the user needs to pay the excess tax. The system found to be simple, easy for installation and
user friendly.

Abstract— This paper describes the piezoelectric sensors that are widely used as mass sensors for various applications including
bimolecular interactions, bacteria testing, food quality measurement, immunosensing etc. Mass sensors measure the change in
the mass of the object under measurement due to either physical or molecular change in the measuring object. The measuring
object when placed on the surface of the piezoelectric sensor then any change in the mass of it affects the resonance frequency of
the sensor assembly. The change in the resonance frequency indicates the change in the mass of the measuring object. This type
of piezoelectric mass sensors is commercially named as Quartz Crystal Microbalance sensors or QCM sensors. The use of
different Nanomaterials with various structure, make it possible to measure very small changes in its volume quantitatively even
in the milli and micro order range using Resonance Frequency Analysis method or RFA method. Further, carbon and its
allotropes have ushered with numerous opportunity in the field of QCM sensors. QCM sensors when used for the liquid
medium, instead of measuring the change in the resonance frequency, the energy dissipation is measured as a function of the
change in the mass. The later one is termed as QCM-D sensors. This review work mainly focuses on the development, progress
and future endeavors of QCM as well as QCM-D sensors mainly in bio sensor applications.

Abstract— Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by elevated blood glucose level by absolute or relative
deficiency of insulin. Different medications are available globally to decrease blood glucose level and absorption through the
inhibition of enzymes- alpha amylase and alpha glucosidase. Although there are various synthetic drugs available for managing
different types of diabetes mellitus, patients with diabetes use traditional herbs too. Fennel being a potential traditional herb
shows antidiabetic activity. The present study was aimed to screen the aqueous extract of Foeniculum vulgare seeds for its anti
diabetic activity in vitro by inhibiting alpha amylase, an enzyme that maintains blood glucose level by hydrolyzing carbohydrate.
The work has been done with different concentrations of fennel seed extract viz., 100µg/ml, 200µg/ml, 400µg/ml, 800µg/ml,
1000µg/ml among which 1000µg/ml concentration showed good inhibitory activity. Future study can explore the bioactive
constituents from the aqueous extract of Foeniculum vulgare.

Abstract— This paper presents the simulation result of MEMS based microheater using the finite element method (FEM). The
thermo- electro-mechanical behaviors of micro membrane have been analyzed using INTELLISUITE 8.2.2 software. A stacked
membrane (Si3N4/ SiO2) was used in order to study the stress behavior at a particular temperature to achieve the long term
stability of gas sensor. A low cost material, nichrome (80:20) having resistivity of 6.8×10ˉ^8 ohm.m is used as a heating element.
Temperature of the microheater, displacement of the membrane and stress produced were evaluated. Results show that the
thickness of the heating element if increased from 0.25μm to 1μm, temperature increases from 144ºC to 624ºC for Si 3N4/ SiO2
composite membrane whereas it increases from 129ºC to 535ºC for only SiO2 membrane with 5V excitation. Simultaneously,
displacement (1.52μm to 1.87 μm) and stress (47.28MPa to211.38MPa) are also studied with the increase in thickness of the
heating element (0.25 to 1 μm) with 5V excitation.

Abstract— An electric bulb is operated through a switch for lighting purpose. The most commonly used light switch is a rocker
switch. A rocker switch being pressed time to time gets damaged or gets jammed after many uses. Another problem faced by
rocker switch is that when multiple rocker switches are placed in a switch board and if any of the rockers switches gets heated
then the plastic body of the rocker switch is melted causing damage to other rocker switches. Due to this an electrical hazard
happens over the connections attached to it. Therefore to overcome this problem our aim is to do lighting process in a smart way
through IoT and gesture technique which is operated without using any type of mechanical switch.

Abstract - In this paper we discuss about the generation of power through foot step using piezoelectric material. In today’s
scenario, we have both renewable & non-renewable form of power sources available with us, but still the demand of power is
increasing day by day, hence it is very difficult to fulfil our power needs. So we are focusing on harvesting the energy using
piezoelectric material. It is a mechanism to transfer mechanical energy, usually ambient vibration, into electric energy that can
be stored and used further to give power to other devices. Here our main aim will be harvesting of energy through walking or
running. The idea of converting energy from pressurize weight into the electrical energy is possible by piezoelectric crystal .
Proposal for the utilization of unused or waste form of energy from foot power, human locomotion is very much relevant and is
very important for highly populated countries like INDIA, where the roads, shopping malls, hospitals, railway stations, bus
stands and temples are overcrowded and millions of people moving around the place. So using such concept, the power can be
availed and deployed by converting mechanical energy to electrical energy.

Abstract— Drinking Water quality index essentially refers to the parameters which are analyzed for checking the quality of a
potable water sample and summarized in a consistent manner for reporting to the public. Water is the most important integral
part of life and hence, the safety of drinking water is much essential for human health. The purity of drinking water is
decreasing day by day due to environmental pollution resulting from the anthropogenic activities that cause serious health
hazards. Variations of different parameters of drinking water directly influence the human beings, biological as well as
ecological systems. Thus the quality of drinking water must be analyzed for both physiochemical and microbiological aspect.
The objective of this present survey is to provide information on the physiochemical and microbiological aspect of the drinki ng
water samples collected from different parts of West Bengal in order to discuss the suitability of human consumption. The
parameters considered for the examination in the survey are: pH, turbidity, biological oxygen demand (BOD), colour, odour,
taste, total dissolved solid (TDS), total hardness, alkalinity, chloride ion concentration and the presence of coliform. All the
experimental data were collected at room temperature (28 °C).

Abstract The objective of this paper is to take steps towards automatic railway signalling system and automatic gate controlling
system using electromagnetic relay operation. Train movement safety depends on it and the control and efficient management of
trains depends on railway signalling system .This system will help us to avoid accidents at the level crossing as well as on the
tracks between two trains. This system will avoid any human made error in the signalling system by the help of the sensors and
LDR. The automatic operation comes from the system's ability to detect whether blocks are occupied or otherwise obstructed,
and to convey that information to approaching trains. The system operates without any outside intervention, unlike more
modern traffic control systems that require external control to establish a flow of traffic. The relay will be having the connection
with the traffic lights which indicates a train to move or stop. The signalling system is governed by block signalling system.

Abstract — Railway is the most common and popular public transport in all over the world as well as in India. Railway is a
sector where huge amount of power is required to run the train and its lighting system. At present scenario, Indian railway use
25 kV ac system for driving electric loco and for lighting of every coach. Most of the 25 kV ac system is supplied from thermal
power station which has non-renewal energy sources. Recently a solar powered train is introduced by Indian railway where
solar energy is used to enable the lighting system of coaches by installing solar panel on roof top of every coaches. For future
aspects we need to use renewal energy as much as possible in railway sector as well as in every sector. By using train moveme nt
we can use another renewal energy source i.e. wind energy. During train movement, wind energy can be used to generate
electricity to enable the lighting system of the train by charging the battery of train. By installing small vertical wind turbine on
top of every coaches in zigzag manner to produce the electricity by mechanically coupled alternator/ generator. This electricity is
used to charge the battery for using the lighting purpose of train.

Abstract — Agricultural sector is a pivot source of earning for a number of countries. But, owing to the economical as well as
technical barrier in the agricultural field, great loss is faced by the farmers after farming unsuitable crops on a particula r land
because they have not enough information regarding the soil of that land and also the lack of knowledge to predict the local
weather of that zone. In other way manually fertilizers or pesticides sprinkling and seed sowing is very tedious task because it is
time consuming and effort oriented. In our proposed work, we are focusing on this two challenging area and developed an IOT
Based multi-purpose suitable crop identifier by farming soil analyzing and zonal weather prediction technique, fabricated inside
a quad-copter/drone, which could be controlled by smart phone. By using the communication between smart phone and
ESP8266-NodeMCU fabricated in quad-copter/drone we can able to sow seeds as well as sprinkle fertilizers during it’s time of
flight. The system can analize the soil details (PH-factor, Soil temperature, moisture level etc) and weather forecast of the
farming land and listed out best suited crops for that land. The whole process has been designed and developed as per the user’s
convenience and is user-friendly. Our proposed work is to provide a multi-purpose tool which is quite easy to use, affordable and
efficient that can reduce human efforts with maximum output to bring an extensive change in the field of agriculture and
farming.

Abstract— In our proposed work we put emphasize on IOT based automated noise and power management system of any
human gathering place like school or college library. At the time of group study, noise generated by a group of students can be a
big issue in the library and if the unwanted noise crosses the threshold then it is very difficult to maintain a reading environment
and it is quite impossible for the librarian to notice all the table and ask them to keep silence. We can propose a microcontroller
operated IOT based automated noise analyzation process through which librarian can get the noise level related analytical
report over web of each and every table and easily identify the higher noise producing zone. Finally the noise of that zone can be
under controlled by centralized auto announcement. Another big issue is unnecessary power-consumption happens in Library
hall when students are unavailable during the reading hours. Students group are not always appeared in front of each and every
individual table for reading purpose. So light and fan dedicated for each table are not always needed due to the absence of
students. We can propose microcontroller based fully automated power generation and saving strategy using real time clock
where light and fan will controlled autonomously by predicting summer or winter or any other season and also by predicting
day or night or any other situation like cloudy day etc.

Abstract - Whenever we see a physically handicapped person, we feel pity for them. They constantly needs a person who can be
their support system. As we know its common human nature to forget things and literally impossible for anyone to stand by side
of person all the time throughout their life. Now what if they forget to take their medicine at periodic time? It might cause
deterioration in their physical condition. What if there is no one to give his medicine, he can’t take his medicine on his own! To
aid this we came up with a portable microcontroller based medicine dispensary unit. It will work as a medicine assistance box,
providing medicine at particular instructed time supported by real-time clock sensor. This box contains three drawers each
containing a particular medicine and allotted with a particular time to open up automatically to provide the medicine at periodic
time, A water preserver which would provide water by the will of the person with the help of a touch-switch sensor attached
beside the container and A sound system which will remind the patient to take their medicine on time. Water preserver is
supported by a submersible pump which will operate as long touch sensor is active. This whole system is operated and powered
by a solar panel. This whole system has been designed and developed as a support system for the physically handicapped patient.
Our proposed work is to aid any deterioration in the condition of person because of the carelessness and for betterment of their
health.

Abstract-In today’s world, deep Fried food products has become an integral part of our daily consumption which is evident in
the increasing number of fast food restaurants in the market. Now frying is essentially cooking of food in oil or another fat .
Frying of food at high temperature of 150°C to 190°C enhances the sensorial properties which include the unique fried flavor,
golden brown color and crispy texture. Frying oil is essentially oil from the vegetable sources like soybean oil, Rice bran oil,
peanut oil etc. Now all oils basically comprises of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids and glycerides. Thus on repeated use of
the same deep fried oils, in presence of air and heat, changes in chemical composition is observed. Increased viscosity and
darkening in colour are some of the physical changes. Oxidation, hydrolysis and thermal polymerization are the chemical
reactions which occur due to repeated usage of the same deep fried oil. Particularly, generation of Trans Fats in these oils is very
dangerous to human health. Thus it is very important to determine the level of degradation of oil to find a solution to this
problem. In this paper, data collected under the parameters of Acid Value, Smoke point, Density for frying oil on repeated use
under the condition of usage and non usage of black cumin seeds are given to show the level of degradation of oil. This paper also
demonstrates the ability of black cumin seeds as a stabilizing agent against the degradation of oil.

Abstract: - In the past years there are many incidents of fire break out,it is estimated that more than 1.2 lakh of damage have
been caused because of fire accidents in India. Even though there are a lot of precautions taken for Fire accidents, these
natural/man-made disasters do occur now and then. In the event of a fire breakout, to rescue people and to put out the fire we
are forced to use human resources which are not safe. With the advancement of technology especially in robotics it is very much
possible to replace humans with robots for fighting the fire. This would improve the efficiency of firefighters and would als o
prevent them from risking human lives, a simple robot using Arduino that could move according to the flame sensors with
the help of a motor driver towards the fire and sprays water using a simple relay circuit to stop it. Replacing human resources
with robot can be fruitful as the robot doesn’t get affected form most of the problems that are cause during a fire fighting
operations which are dangerous and harmful to human lives like the smoke, building collapsing, etc. The Arduino is
programmed in C++. Robots are small in size and can be fitted through any small places in order to complete its operation and it
can be manufactured in a vast amount so a large number of robots can be available in the time of requirement.

Abstract-In today’s progressive world there is an increasing awareness about the health impact of food materials. Hence a
growing demand for healthy food products has lead to the development of “Nutraceutical Food Products”. One important aspect
of this development is research and development of natural food colorants or bio-colours as an alternative to the unhealthy
artificial food colours. Colour of food materials is an important parameter for consumer preference. However using synthetic
colour could be unhealthy for human being. Bio-colours have many health benefits such as anti oxidant capacity, increasing the
stability of food products, anti cancer property, etc. The main challenge faced by the industry is the production of natural food
pigments in bulk to replace the artificial colourant. The extraction process from plants and vegetable sources is lengthy, time
consuming and thus expensive and the product yield is also low and the source is non renewable. In this regard, the micro
organisms are being viewed as a less expensive and renewable alternative source. Thus this paper reviews the use of microbial
pigment as an alternative of artificial food colourant along with a comparative study of some of these pigments extracted from
the microbes. This paper also highlights the challenges faced in this development and the advance technologies for handling
these challenges. This review paper also discusses the health benefits of natural food colourant from microbes and the future
prospective in this field.

Abstract - Recent neuroscience research has provided strong evidence for the role of neuropsychology and how it affects
individual discretion in food selection. One of the brain's key roles is to facilitate the search for food and feeding. Food selection
of people is one of the main reasons for obesity the world is facing today. Overeating and obesity are costly problems while the
blame here is often put at the doors of the global food industries offering addictive foods, which are designed to hit the " feel-
good factor " in terms of pleasurable ingredients such as sugar, fats, oils, that are partially true. Besides, the additive used in
food industries, other environmental cues trigger hunger more often even if we are at our satiety. Psychological hunger can arise
due to different frame of mind of an individual, social gathering, food craving or even due to exposure to images of desirable
foods or aroma of food. Even the colour of food has quite impact on how much we eat and what we eat. Sugar also have a bad
impact on people’s food choice, they often became addicted to sugar. Our brains are instinctive for pleasure and sugar works
like many addictive drugs. Here, in this paper, we take a closer look at the potential role of psychological hunger and how it
affects an individual’s food selection and makes that individual obese and also affecting their lifestyle.

Abstract -Fortification is the enrichment of food by addition of essential micro-nutrients (trace elements and vitamins) to food. It
is carried out under initiatives as Public Health Policy which aims to reduce the number of people with dietary deficiencies
within a population. Ice-creams are well known dessert, especially among children. So it is important to keep its sensory factors
in mind but making it nutritious yet tasty. Though it is challenging but to meet the demands of the consumers various natural
ingredients are used. Researchers worked on combining ice-cream with bio-active molecules, produced functionally potential
products. There are reports of making natural anti-oxidant ice-cream with cocoa powder, hazelnut and green-tea extract and
also with ginger extract. Ice-cream fortification with fish-protein powder is effective to enhance food value, but studies on
storage stability and consumer acceptance are recommended. Researchers worked on incorporating dietary fibers like wheat,
oats, bamboo, apple and orange whose influence was checked on the basis of rheological, textural, sensory properties and
probiotic culture survival of the ice-cream, to enhance the structural characteristics and cultural viability. Inulin additions in
ice-creams as fat-replacers increased the viscosity and also made it resistant to melting. Hydrocolloids bind water and adding
them in ice-creams enhanced the micro-viscosity. Ice-cream fortification with vitamins and minerals were attempted. Vitamin
D3, calcium and zinc fortifications have led to success. The aim of this study is to review the various studies of fortification of ice-
cream using different nutritional components, hence fulfilling the nutritional needs of human.

Abstract—The paper presents research in the understanding of how the manufacturing control parameters affect the physical
processes inside low pressure plasma etch reactor. The flow inside the reactor varies from continuum flow to near free molecular
flow. In addition, electromagnetic effects are important due to rf heating, magnetic confinement, and wafer potential bias
acceleration. Numerical simulation allows the full characterization of both neutral and ion behavior inside the reactor. With
simulation, it is also possible to study etch reactor design changes before building of hardware. Plasma etch is the use of a
plasma, generated with suitable gases, to chemically remove material from the wafer surface. So the plasma etch is to reproduce
the etch mask in the film on the surface of the wafer or to chemically remove material from the wafer surface in a less specific
way. The mask pattern may be transferred to a film or stack of films that have been deposited on the wafer or etched into the
silicon wafer itself. For many critical manufacturing steps, the etch process must also be able to shape the feature being
produced on the wafer surface in a specified way. Plasma etch is also used to chemically remove films that completely cover the
wafer. The most critical application of plasma etch, which results in properly shaped features produced on the wafer.

Abstract—When an unfortunate event affects the movement capacity of a person, it is necessary to use devices like wheelchairs.
It offers a means of displacement for patients having problems in their lower limbs. The aim of this work is to prepare a cost
effective hand gesture controlled wheel-chair for the physically disabled people who face difficulty in moving from one place to
another in day-to-day life. These days joystick controlled wheel-chair is available in the market whose cost range is quite high.
We have prepared this hand gesture controlled wheel-chair mechanism so reasonable that a normal person can afford. We
implemented a prototype of big wheel-chair that can be very useful for disabled people. Here the main focus of this project of
gesture control wheel-chair using arduino is to implement something that can be very handy and simple. This is an advance
approach of changing the physical gesture of hand into the electrical signal and then to process that signal into digital signal of
appropriate magnitude and to be transmitted through the transmitter. An accelerometer is used as a sensor which gives an
analog signal on its movement in any of the 6 axis directions, that is X axis, negative X axis, positive Y axis, negative Y axis,
positive Z axis, negative Z axis. The input from sensor is given to encoder which sends the data wireless through the transmitter,
then the data is received at the receiver end and the sensor data is decoded and finally given to microcontroller. Based on data
received from the accelerometer the microcontroller sends the signal accordingly to move the wheelchair in forward, backward,
left, right directions.

Abstract - The performance of maximal ratio receives combining (MRRC) for mobile ad hoc network is used to find optimal
channel performance and plays an important role to determine the channel capacity with transmit diversity. The MRRC
detection is the based on the receiver performance using maximum likelihood (ML) detection on the linear weighted combined
signal from the transmitters. The basic idea used in MRRC is that to transmitter a signal through the different transmitter at
different period and combine them at the receiver. To get optimal received signal the transmit diversity scheme achieves the
same performance. We analyze the performance of network using bit error rate (BER) in terms of signal to noise ratio (SNR)
considering the Rayleigh fading channel with different number of receiver combination.

Abstract—Generally, in food industries, foods are processed thermally to destroy the vegetative micro-organisms to preserve the
food and make it long-lasting. Due to this thermal processing, the food receives some non-desirable nutritional effect. Ensuring
food safety and at the same time meeting such demands for retention of nutrition attributes has resulted in increased interest in
emerging preservation techniques. This food-processing technology increases the shelf-life of food, but it results have been
attained by the radiation processes. But still now the application of irradiation on food is mostly hidden to the consumers. The
ionizing radiation by Gamma-ray, Beta-ray, X-ray, mainly used in industrial processes (food processing) and non-ionizing
radiation used in surface decontamination(food packaging). Food irradiation, often termed as ‘Cold Pasteurization’ is an
established and mature technology that improves food safety and extends the shelf-life of foods by eliminating pathogenic micro-
organisms. According to scientific researches over past five decades indicates that food irradiation is a safe and effecting form of
food processing. But the basic disadvantages of food irradiation will substantially affect the quality of food like taste, nutrients,
denaturing proteins, fatty acids etc. So, this review paper is a discussion about the helpful and harmful effect of irradiation of

Abstract -The monitoring of environmental variables such as temperature, pressure and humidity have shown considerable
impact in the efficiency of plant growth, the quality of food manufacturing and the effectiveness of many temperature and
humidity-susceptible equipment. The monitoring of temperature and humidity of laboratories, storages, halls, schools/colleges
and hospitals is very significantconcerning health and hygiene. The steadfast measurement and monitoring is essential in this
aggressiveage of technology. Arduino, the open source hardware has revealedits capability to get together the requirement of
precise and instantaneous monitoring and controlling of environmental variables. This paper gives us an idea on how humidity of
surroundings can be monitored and transmitted over time. Here, we will measure humidity by using Arduino tool and DHT11,
which is a Humidity and Temperature Sensor that generates calibrated digital output. DHT11 can be interfaced with any
microcontroller like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc. and get instantaneous results. And hence, it will be advantageous for
harmonizing the surroundings to upsurge the efficiency.

Abstract— Ferroalloy industries rely on minerals which are not available in pure form. The total value chain is very cost
intensive and market driven. From mineral and environment conservation point of view every possible aspect must be explored
for the economic utilisation of waste and low-grade ores. Unlike other metallurgical processes, Ferro alloys production generates
a wide variety of waste rich in manganese/ chrome which has a potential for recycling back. Measures proposed for resource
conservation and waste utilization are discussed here. It is observed that the lack of waste recycling at ferroalloy plants is
partially associated with the low economic efficiency of the available methods, whose capital expenditures and operational costs
are high. At the same time, reducing the waste tailings will improve environmental conditions around ferroalloy plants and
hence indirectly reduce governmental costs. Various future measures are proposed here in this work including the construction
of new smelting units equipped with up to date gas purification and dc furnaces that do not require the use of pelletized
materials; and economically appropriate utilization of natural minerals and industrial waste products.

Abstract—This paper demonstrates the idea of creating a platform that will utilize the Web Crawler for more efficient indexing
and ‘web Spidering’ of keywords related to start-up events. The Platform is also capable of allowing Start-up to apply for these
events. Numbers of Start-up networking events are organized across the year by Start-up community stakeholders including
Government, Investors, colleges, etc. at both national and global level. To keep the process simplified and complex free for a
normal user in finding all the events on an aggregated platform, we need an efficient web crawler which can aggregate the
contents of different website who regularly post’s start-up events and present them on a single platform.

Abstract - Citrus fruits are well known for their exotic fragrance and nutrient-rich juices. Such group of fruits come under the
family of Rutaceae and includes lime, lemon, orange, bergamot orange, mandarin, grapefruit and many other fruits. These fruits
are most often utilized for extracting their juice which is a rich source of vitamin C, glycaemic carbohydrate, non-glycaemic
carbohydrate, folate, thiamin and potassium. However, only 50% of the fruits are utilized while extracting their juice and the
rest 50% which consists of their peels and seeds are either discarded as waste products or a part of them are utilized as ani mal
feed. These citrus wastes, particularly the citrus peels can act as a rich source of some essential nutrients for the human body.
The citrus peels are rich in three major functional components: Phenolic compounds, Flavonoids, Dietary fibers, which are
beneficial for the human body. The peels are easily available whenever the fruit is available and this makes them quite cost
effective. Due to their beneficial nutritional composition, they can be used as dietary supplements in the form of powders or
candied peels. Their extraction and utilization can go way beyond their utility as mere animal feeds. This review mainly focuses
on the nutritional component of the citrus peels and their utility, the extent to which the components are found in different peels,
their health benefits and other utilities.

Abstract: This paper proposes a smart women safety project. It is highly economic and less expensive. The system is smart,
compact, easy to use and controlled by smart phone. GSM is preferred most for this mode of controlling. The system is
automated which is controlled by the heart rate of the victim. In the worst situation when the heart rate is high the system will
automatically be activated. Along with the automated system a manual switch is also there. When the system is activated the time
with location place will be sent to the android mobile which is enrolled in the memory IC should get a SOS message for
immediate help. GPS gives only the longitude and latitude values but by using Android application in the user’s mobile one can
easily get the location name from where the message has been sent. The controller takes the switch as an input, controller
receives the value and send a message to the registered mobile number which is previously stored in the IC. The system comes
with an audio module that would be helpful for a physically impaired person. An auto-intruder selfie capturing mode is also
been proposed. With the wide range of serial communication, it can be used in many gateways, protocols and many general
purposes.

Abstracts: In this paper a way for determining fault distance in underground cable is
done by using microcontroller. The target of this project is to provide a way to find an approximate and reliable distance of the
fault in underground cable from the base station. It uses the straight forward conception of Ohm’s law; voltage drop can vary
counting on the length of fault in cable, since the current varies. A group of resistors are used to represent the length of cable in
kilometers and a dc voltage is fed at one end and the fault is detected the change in voltage using analog to voltage converter.
The fault occurring at what distance is shown on LCD which is interfaced with the microcontroller that is used to make the
necessary calculations.

Abstract—The rapidly evolving and changing world of healthcare and social services is all set tokeep pace with the exacting
demands of the new millennium in the twenty-first century.Analysts and commentators have often drawn attention to the
opacity and alienating effect ofthe language used by medical professionals and healthcare workers. While noting this as
anestablished fact, adducing proof from medical literature and healthcare records, this paperattempts to explore the
intermediary role of the healthcare management personnel inhumanizing the remoteness of medical terminology and
instructional data for the patient.Drawing upon medical records and patient feedback, the present paper attempts to
elucidatethe efforts of healthcare management professionals in trying to extrapolate the nuances ofmedical jargon and
terminology, their attempts to clarify and elucidate the medical adviceand instructions given by doctors, healthcare experts and
caregivers. The managementprofessional’s role in guiding the patient through the maze of diagnostic services, OPD,operations
and in-house patient services, providing medical reports and monitoring patientfeedback is explored with illustrative references.
Playing the role not only of a financialmanager and operations consultant, the management professional also acts as financial
andbereavement counsellor, medical procedural advisor and pain management intermediary. Inall these roles, the management
professional uses language that is unbiased, politicallycorrect, courteous and adequately explanatory. The paper envisages a
profiling of thesemultiple roles of hospital management personnel through sufficiently diverse, prolific andprofessional language
use, therebybuilding strategic patient and medical staff partnerships.

Abstract—Women safety is an issue of concern in the society. Crime against women such as rape, acid throwing, dowry killings,
honor killings and forced prostitution of young girls has been reported in India. This proposed device is based on a self defence
which will ensure the safety of the user. It is a combination of 2 gadgets. One will be a pendent which can be normally wore as
an ornament having a small button in it. When the button is pressed a highly illuminous light will be emitted which will cause
temporarily blindness and will help the victim to escape. The second one will be a device shaped like a toy gun which can be
easily concealed by layers of clothing or kept inside the purse. When the trigger of the gun is pressed, pepper spray will be blown
out from the nozzles to the suspect. If the assaulter comes very close to the woman she can also give an electric shock to t he
assaulter with the help of the gun where an electric shock giving chamber is inserted. The GPS tracking will also get activated
on the device and the current location of the user will be sent as SOS to the nearest police station and two previously installed
contact numbers for help. The combination of this two device can be used simultaneously as per necessity or an emergency. All
these facilities on the device can incapacitate the assaulter so that the victim can escape.

Abstract - In this paper, we investigate to control the electrical devices remotely using RF module. The aim of the problem is to
reduce unwanted electrical power consumption, unnecessary human movements and time consumption. This is also very cost-
effective as using only one RF module we can control multiple devices wirelessly from a distance of about 30 metre. The
controlling side consists of a transmitter unit which sends a signal to receiver side using antenna. The receiver side process the
signal and send it to the relay which turns the corresponding device on or off.

Abstract— Li-Fi stands for Light-Fidelity which provides transmission of data through illumination by sending data through a
LED light bulb that varies in intensity faster than human eye can follow. In this paper , we discuss the technology in detail and
also how Wi-Fi can be replaced by Li-Fi. Wi-Fi is useful for general wireless coverage within buildings while Li-Fi is ideal for
high density wireless data coverage in confined areas where there are no obstacles. Li-Fi is a wireless optical networking
technology that uses light emitting diodes (LEDs) for transmission of data. The term Li-Fi refers to visible light communication
(VLC) technology that uses as medium to deliver high-speed communication in a manner similar to Wi-Fi. Li-Fi provides better
bandwidth, efficiency, availability and security than Wi-Fi and has already achieved high speeds in the lab. Li-Fi is a data
transfer technique that uses light. Light is analogous not only to illumination but also to speed. Li-Fi is also much secured since
light cannot pass through walls. It uses visible light portion of the electromagnetic spectrum to transmit information and Mi cro-
controllers and its other peripheral devices.

Abstract— Drying is the oldest method of food preservation. By reducing the moisture content and water activity the microbial
stability of the food materials can be increased. The minimum water activity (aw) for microbial growth is approximately 0.6.
But in case of dehydration the texture, palatability and some physical properties of the food materials can be decreased.
Intermediate moisture food (IMF) are shelf-stable products having water activities of 0.6-0.84, and the range of the moisture
content from 15%-40% and are edible without rehydration. Osmotic dehydration has many advantages include low processing
temperatures, short drying times, and 20%-30% lower energy consumption than typical dehydration processes. Sugar is the
most important agent used as the humectants for candied intermediate moisture fruits, and salt is used for intermediate
moisture vegetables and fish. Most of the fresh fruits can be transformed into IMF or candied fruit(also known as crystallized
fruit) without adding synthetic colours and flavours or gelling agent. In this review paper the how different IMF enhance the
self-life of the food materials are discussed.

Abstract— Ready-to-use therapeutic foods (RUTFs) are solid foods that were constructed by changing the formulation of the
existing liquid diet. The resulting products proved highly effective in enhancing weight gain in both severely and moderately
malnourished children and adults, including those infected with HIV. RUTF'S are homogeneous mixture of lipid-rich and water-
soluble foods. The high milk content of RUTFs makes it an expensive product, and using lower quantities of milk seems
desirable. The current standard recipe for RUTF [peanut-based RUTF (P-RUTF)] is made from peanut paste, milk powder, oil,
sugar, and minerals and vitamins. According To the United Nations (UN), 25 million children (<5years)are currently affected by
severe acute malnutrition and need to be treated using special nutritional products such as ready-to-use therapeutic foods
(RUTF).
The advantage of RUTF is that it is a Ready-to-use paste which does not need to be mixed with water, thereby avoiding the risk
of bacterial proliferation in case of accidental contamination. RUTF is not water-based, bacteria cannot grow in it and it can be
used safely at home without refrigeration and in areas where hygiene conditions are not optimal. This paper summarizes the use
of RUTFs at a very low cost and how it helps to reduce malnutrition.

Abstract— Quality improvement and performance parameters are a continually changing and upgrading variable for
healthcare professionals. Manning patient services round-the-clock, monitoring the patient records and database, providing
suitable inputs to doctors and paramedics, maintaining financial services, stocks and supplies—healthcare management
professionals play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the healthcare sector. This paper attempts to explore how training in
behavioral standards, grooming and interpersonal communication enhances performance standards, apart from on-job training,
domain knowledge and cognizance of suitable softwares and other protocols for database management. Drawing on suitable
data, like project records, diaries and other records kept by interns during internship training, the qualitative difference
between suitably trained healthcare personnel with sound grooming in interpersonal skills and those relatively deficient in these
respects is demonstrated. The impact of interpersonal skills training is also shown to be directly related to patient-outcomes,
quality of healthcare monitoring and utility of support services. The importance of imparting suitable skills of telecalling
etiquette, client relations and designing suitable templates for recoding data and feedback is suitably demonstrated through
illustrative examples. Cumulative improvement in these skill sets goes a long way in equipping healthcare management
professionals with enhanced professional expertise so that they can suitably address problems and annex new frontiers in the
emerging global healthcare industry.

Abstract - In this paper a review analysis of photo voltaic array is explained. Now a days photo voltaic cells plays an important
role in electric energy generation. Due to the scarcity of conventional energy sources the use of non-conventional energy
resources increases day by day. So to synchronize the Photo Voltaic Cells with the grid is necessary to control. The power which
is generated by photo voltaic cells can be fetched to the grid so that that as per needed we use that power as per our requirement.
To obtain maximum amount of energy from the PV Cell Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) is used. Various types of
MPPT Techniques are used to extract maximum power. As the output voltage of PV Array is very low so to increase the value of
DC Voltage a boost converter is used to step up the voltage to required level. Then the voltage is converted into a.c by inverter.
As due to nonlinear load harmonics may be generated so a capacitor bank is used to eliminate the effect of harmonics. Here we
consider a model of Grid connected PV array and try to analyze the operation of PV array with Grid Connected condition.

Abstract— Digisonde is digitized version of sounder or chirp-sounder. Ionosonde is a high frequency (HF) transmitter and
receiver system which is used to create the altitudinal ionospheric profile. This system helps to find out critical height at F2 layer
(hmF2), critical ionization density (NmF2), and critical ionospheric frequency (foF2). This system is also helpful towards the
observation of ionospheric irregularities. Digisonde has an additional digital control mechanism and data analysis methodology.
It also consists of high gain antenna, high speed digital signal processing circuit, high speed parallel data transfer technique, high
signal to noise ration and automatic ionospheric layer identification capacity. This is the reason why digisonde is preferred over
general ionosonde. The most popular ionosonde is operational at University of Massachusetts Lowell (UML).

Abstract— Barium Titanate is a Ferroelectric material with Perovskite structure which shows spontaneous polarization in the
absence of external electric field. This material shows infinite dielectric constant under the application of alternating field. To
avoid the instability, the material undergoes a transition to the ferroelectric phase. This transition may be explained using
55
displacive model. Here this phase transition is explained from the perspective of thermodynamics of the material. From the
proposal of Landau for free energy calculation of a system, the free energy is expanded in terms of polarization as order
parameter. For a particular value of order parameter at some critical temperature it is seen that the material loses its symmetry
spontaneously and goes to equilibrium state.

Abstract— A solar inverter is a dc to dc converter technology developed to maximize the energy harvest from solar photovoltaic
systems. They do this by individually tuning the performance of the panel through maximum power point tracking (M.P.P.T),
and optionally tuning the output to match the performance of the inverter. Power optimizers are especially useful when the
performance of the power generating components in a distributed system will vary widely, such as due to differences in
equipment, shading of light or being installed facing different directions or widely separated locations. The high energy demand
and the constant depletion of the fossil fuels lead us to shift our focus to renewable energy sources which are not only the future
unlimited source of energy, it is also eco-friendly and viable for the environment.

Abstract— The concept of human-machine connectivity defines the interface that connects an operator to the controller to build
an automated system. Industrial Control Systems (ICS) are integrated with hardware and software, designed to monitor and
control the operation of machinery and associated devices in industrial environments, including critical infrastructure. The
system includes electronic components for signal processing and controlling the automation systems. Interfacing between human
and machines is the most vital technology, especially applicable for biomedical devices. With rising healthcare costs and an
increasing need for affordable, easy to use medical devices, this technology is becoming an ever-growing trend in the field of
product design and development.
In this paper, the importance of system design and draw-backs of Human Machine Connectivity has been focused. A very
impactful assessment prior to, or in parallel with the design of the intelligent connectivity is demonstrated to allow risk analysts
to inform the designers about the relationship between operators’ actions and system performance.

Abstract— Reading text from photograph is a challenging problem that has received a significant amount of attention
throughout the last decade. Generally text present in any image(on-line and off-line) or video frames is of different size, style,
orientation with complex background, noise, different resolution and contrast. This factors make the automatic text extraction
and recognition a challenging task. Text detection is performed in several steps; Pre processing, text segmentation, text
recognization, post processing. Segmentation is of three types, they are line segmentation, word segmentation, character
segmentation. Processing is done for the basic operation on digital image like binarization which convert gray scale image into
binary image. This paper analyzes and discusses the different methods to overcome challenges. Text recognition is used in

Abstract— The field of surgery is entering a time of great change, spurred on by remarkable recent advances in surgical and
computer technology. Only recently have robotic systems made their way into the operating room as intelligence enhancing
surgical assistants and surgical planners. The first generation of surgical robots is already being installed in a number of
operating rooms around the world. These aren't true autonomous robots, but they are lending a mechanical helping hand to
surgeons. Remote control and voice activation are the methods by which these surgical robots are controlled. So, Surgical
robotics is a new technology that holds significant promise. Robotics Surgery is often heralded as a new revolution, and it is one
of the most talked about subjects in surgery today.
Telerobotics surgery uses networking and robotics technology to allow surgeons to operate on patients who are distantly located.
The technology not only benefits today’s shortage of surgeons, but it also eliminates geographical barriers that prevent timely
and high-quality surgical intervention, financial burden, complications and often risky long-distance travel. The system also
provides improved surgical accuracy and ensures the safety of surgeons. In this paper we describe the current trend of
telesurgery’s innovative developments and its future with a detailed Programmable Wireless Based Telerobotics Surgery with
heartbeat measurements and blood pressure and blood sugar measurements.

Abstract— RFID or Radio Frequency Identification system is a form of wireless communication that uses radio waves to
identify and track objects. A RFID arrangement has readers and tags that communicate with each other by radio. Our proposed
work is an RFID based system used to identify an authorised person at a particular place through an identification card or a tag,
a field strength device, which when brought near an RFID Reader, will only allow the entry of the registered user, indicated by
the sound of a hooter or siren and the flashing of an LED lamp. In this proposed work, both the hardware and software modules
are integrated. The hardware module includes an EM-18 RFID Reader which is a passive one, ATMEL AT89S52
microcontroller, Relay Switching circuit, a LED flasher and a siren. The benefit with passive RFID is that it operates without a
battery and passive tags are lighter and are less expensive than the active tags. we have used a hooter instead of a simple buzzer
to keep our proposed work flexible for other futuristic applications like RFID based security and surveillance system and we also
wish to keep a section for PC interfacing which will be incorporated later on.
